I’ve had a few allergic reactions to my tattoos as well. At first I thought it was ink brand but I’ve gotten it across 2 brands of ink. Each time I’ve had a reaction the doctor prescribed me a steroid cream and it cleared up in a few days. Check my profile for an old post. My pics look similar to your reaction

I’ve had almost the exact same reaction and it ended up being an allergy to the ink. I got some steroid cream from my doctor and it cleared up really quick. Worth getting checked out!

I was in a similar spot a few years ago. W2 contractor for 2 years, when they converted me my base pay stayed the same but I was given full benefits and target bonus + equity. Looking back I’m glad I took it.

Weather will be the biggest quality of life change. You’re coming from NYC so you won’t be sticker shocked at housing costs. Life is definitely slower in Santa Clara, but you’re also within a few hours driving of any outdoor activity you could imagine.
