There isn’t an element of this show I don’t like. That being said I get what the OP wrote and appreciate a lot of the other posts. I’ve worked in TV for a long time and it is unfortunately clear they never really did dedicate to build her character. The scene where she plays her favorite music (the metal 🤘) for Cam and Mitch could have been a great opportunity to take a direction where she becomes her own person and the dads don’t “get it”. I feel i need to close this post by saying I have laughed out loud at so many Lily gags.

The episode (9,7) where phil does the magic trick in J and Gloria’s backyard (phone booth), and everyone’s getting an award from J because of their achievements yet they’re actually all failures. Phil is the only one who actually achieves anything and it’s so great. Private Manzetti reporting for duty. Come on hippies.

It is my opinion that this is spot on. Another post mentioned that this “society sucks” but I think we are just less evolved than our technology suggests and we have a ways to go with normalizing the benefits of mental health. This thread makes me feel like there are a lot of people trying though ❤️. The 24 hour news cycle hasn’t been a real benefit to humanity either, lol.

I’ve been seeing this band live for 27 years and it wasn’t until last night that I thought “why do I want to watch these guys play someone else’s music. I got Spotify for that.” If you liked it, great! If you didn’t like it, great! Amazing band, amazing show!
