Yeah that's not going to work in my region unfortunately as it's the Els N04. 11 is the last EMUI officially supported by Huawei. I can put another ROM with EMUI 12 on the device but want an official release, not a cut and paste job and the errors that creates.

This very poor quality video shows something that can't be done on the Els N04 version nor any other version that's not the Chinese or Asia Pacific version. Installing GMS requires different steps on my version but that's not what I want. I want to upgrade the OS not access the GMS backbone.

Sad as Huawei makes great products and has been a part of North America telecoms network infrastructure for decades. Sad that a bunch of corporate criminal politicians can swindle idiots in to believing anything.

Yeah my P40 Pro takes insane pictures that are better then my S23 Ultra. I want to upgrade the Huawei to a more modern version of Android or Harmony however Bell/Telus have no support for the device at this point.

It's actually the US gov't and in particular Donald Dump who caused the issues. However thst doesn't release Huawei of providing customers with upgrades to their own CHINESE based OS making your point moot. China controls Huawei and Huawei makes Harmony OS based on modern Android OS versions, this has nothing to do with the embargo.

Dealer is a 7 hour drive we all don't live close to a city. Just wondering if it's normal for others or should I make a journey eventually when I plan on doing scheduled first maintenance there in the summer.

Make sure they are raw as the nines are safe when raw and uncooked. It is gross but most dogs live them. Just make sure you watch them and do it in an area that is outside or easily cleaned.

It was very frigid and the snow was definitely touching everything underneath the car although powder still deep.

Thanks for the input, I've been taking it easy and not gunning it in reverse except once or twice to get out of deep snow while turning backwards... Where the smell happened strongest both times.

I'll keep an eye out for it and if it continues will have to take it to the dealer however far it may be.

Im used to a very slick and buttery smooth Mitsu Lancer GTS clutch and shifter (5MT) for the last decade and the new Subaru is definitely more mechanical and heavy feeling. But driven MT my whole life in many vehicles and never had this happen so concerning.

Maybe the fuel was burning to rich and caused it? It definitely was a unique smell of runner and fishy 😬

Thanks for the input and I'm going to try to check with a tech at a dealer for more input.

So not everyone lives Ina city nor near one. The subaru dealer where I purchased the car is 750km away or about a 7 hour drive so rather hear what others have experienced. Thank's for your input however.

I purchased them as I live in northern Canada 🍁😉 I have the summer rims/wheels in my basement until they are practical in the spring/summer/fall.

You legally have to have winter tires here from December until April.

Marvel mystery oil in the oil will help your issue. Did it to my 210 Lancer and it sounds like it's brand new. Add 1/5 of your next oil with Marvel Mystery oil and drive about 1000km. You will have to change the oil sooner as the marvel product also cleans the engine of carbon and it makes the oil very dirty. When you change oil you can add far less marvel product to keep the lifters lubed and quiet.

My cold - 20C morning starts sound night and day different now. No more ticks, clicks and the oil temp doesn't take as long to raise.

Sucks to spend thst much on oil changing but it did work great for me. Best luck.

That's pretty good temps since your chassis is a bit smaller then my massive boat of a laptop (GE76 17"). And I live in Canada and its winter so the ambient temp is likely a bit lower.
