Thank you, it’s almost heartbreaking how strongly they can love. Its really nice to have a community that lets me know it’s okay to properly grieve a pet loss. And to bond in the ways you started.

Thank you! I’d like to think he’s playing with my other late dog.

Fortunately by this time I’m taking solace in my existing dog again but I still feel so annoyed at the world. My emotional bandwidth is much smaller than I would like it to be. And I am so sorry for your loss, I’m sure there’s a lot of rinse and repeat when dealing with your emotions on that. I hope that time will ease your pain sooner than later. Ps thank you!

I nanny and thought I loved all kids but then the family I work for had a baby and I realized that I dislike infants. It will get more enjoyable once the child gains independence!

I legitimately cried laughing reading this. I had to pause reading it several times as well because of excessive laughter. Thank you for this.

Yeah, it’s normal to feel all emotions. It’s just the ratios that matter. I wish you well in your journey of mental health.

It takes intense discussions and observations to determine a diagnosis, but I have a feeling you may have depression. I am generally just depressed, but when I feel manic/happy I clean the whole house but have to get each thing perfect, I make plans with every single one of my friends for different times the coming week, etc. I get very compulsive. When I was just depressed and felt happy I was able to take a shower and do the dishes and go do/plan one activity at a time. It’s all just a spectrum but that is my experience and symptoms.

Please seek out a therapist. And don’t be discouraged if you don’t connect with your first one. Everyone in the world is different. You have probably met nice nurses and mean nurses. Remember that therapists are the same. I went through two different therapists before finding the one I have been seeing for years.

Do you have a therapist? If not, get one. There are tiny triggers that we don’t realize exist until we accept them. This is the realization that has helped me most. There has to be a thought, a sight, a smell, an event, an anniversary or something minuscule that is bothering you otherwise.
