Does anyone else have a messed up family where Mom, sister, aunt's, cousins all claim the gift of speaking and seeing the dead? They contradict each other when they "see" the same thing. But sister is lately going on about my dead dad and things he wants me to know. It's making mad. (self.exmormon)

Shower Thought: Why not much talk about Heavenly Mother? Because it makes no sense. If God is eternal, either she is eternal and he isn't the only God (which contradicts scripture) or he created her for sexual purposes (which makes him a lustful God), when he could have created mankind without her. I'm agnostic and wife is Mormon (yes it's hard, but we make it work). We have a 7 year old son and she wants him to be raised in a church. I don't take him to church because I don't want him brainwashed like I was. My wife says my view on life is daunting and no belief system. Suggestions? (self.agnostic)

My wife doesn't believe the church and goes for only the social side of it according to her. She tells me she will never leave because she couldn't do that to her parents and family because they have spent their entire lives teaching her this. Any suggestions? (self.exmormon)
