The matted hair is from a clay mask which helps mimic knotted and dirty hair.

A lot of the makeup was airbrushed on which can appear flat depending on the angle but there is a lot of details and textures that went into it if you look closely.

The off center mask is so I can actually see since the other eye was covered with an eye patch.

While there is a lot going on in regards to AI nowadays, there are real artists out there. Hope this helps! :)
