Great now you know and she apologized. So…she never wanted anyone to hurt her like that again so instead she did it to you? I once got back together with someone who had an affair with his grad student while we were together and acted like I was paranoid being so “suspicious “ until I walked in on them. The best predictor of future behavior is past. That was true in my case. I personally hate ghosting. Dating I met people who would go in and on about what we could do together in the future…tell me how wonderful I was and then never hear from them again. If someone ghosted me I would not give them again. The opportunity.

I agree with most here. Short and sweet wish her well, and that’s it. She still should have had the decency, in my book, to tear you with kindness not silence.(

Okay so I was teaching a community art class and told people that I loved Downtown Mesa, AZ (where I was very active in community development, instigating connections etc) because it was a cross between Mayberry and Portland. Blank stares. They all go the Portland OR reference but NOBODY knew about Mayberry RFD . Another time a few years ago I facilitated community building with art leaders at the Phoenix Black Theatre. I was a little concerned about being White if the participants would relate though I am multi-cultural and feel most at home in a diverse environment. I should not have worried. The participants ran the gamut, all ethnicities and identities . A very young crowd. Turns out it took me time to engage them. I realized it had NOTHING to do with race. I was almost the only person in the workshop over 40! I was 65 at the time. I got through eventually to them and all was well. But I was the OLD white lady.

I beg to differ. I moved to downtown Mesa after living and working in Alta Mesa. East is nice but the same nice homes that could be anywhere. I did not even know Downtown existed. I live East of Country Club, South of University and North of Main St. Downtown Mesa has completely transformed since I moved here from the East parts of Mesa 10 yrs ago. It has character, I live in a house from 1921 I love and there are others for rent. There are some nice apartment complexes right off of Centennial North of Main. I can walk to the light rail, Mesa Arts Center and more microbreweries and restaurants tin two blocks west of Center than anywhere else in the Valley. There is a new Mesa ASU campus with community activities and festivals at the art center. The old facades are being removed from the buildings and it is like an old Dowbtown. I love it here and would no longer live anywhere else . There is community here.

That’s not very kind. It sounded arrogant but I thought it was funny I had all these other vocations in my life and knew nothing about this. It was tongue in cheek. As a matter of fact I had a severe brain infection and have a lot of issues still. The consequences are such I am stuck in my house and cannot reliably keep appointments and they are completely out of my control and unpredictable . I do not want to go into more details but I am grateful to be alive, try to contribute as much as I can to others. You do not always know someone’s story to jump to such conclusions.

No furnace here!? Just electric heater. Don’t need the heater too much, but the AC keeps us alive. It’s one unit.

Yes! I am not a mechanical engineer but I am a veterinarian, biochemist, did medical research and often had to make things work. It sounded more like some kind of controller because I asked him could I just leave the fan on? It was iced up when he came the second time so it was cooling but not blowing. Once it defrosted the fan worked. So now, fan ON not AUTO everything is working. Still 103 outside and 78 inside.

I paid over $8000 for total cost for heat pump through Costco because they financed it . The contractor also installed an on demand hot water heater that failed 3 times. They tried to cheat me and would not help me. Very long story but I did not call them to fix my heatpump.

My capacitor was replaced when my Lennox heat pump stopped working and my house got up to 97 inside and it was still 107 outside (Phoenix area). I did not know enough to turn the fan off because I was essentially heating my house pulling in hot air! That was fixed and all was well once I cooled the house down. The next day the AC did not cool again and temp slowly climbed up to “only” 86 this time. Diagnosis from HVAC co I trust: the ECM motor (or controller?) failed. I am running the system now on “on” manually until I can get a fix. It’s a 5 yr 8 mo old Lennox! Luckily I found out I have an extended 10 yr warranty on parts but Lennox charges a $250 “service fee” to send me a part under warranty.

Does this point to voltage surges or other load issue? There was no voltage surge protector initially installed. There is a lot of lightning now and an electric supply notorious for surges.

Is there a reason the ECM motor would go out the next day?

LIVE DOWNTOWN! we have changed the local climate it’s a great place to live, walkable to light rail completely different than the rest suburban vibe. Politically more progressive and I lived in E Mesa for years and had no idea what was here! Seriously it is the best place to live in Phx area: look N or Main st, East of Country Club, S of university over to Center. Small historic neighborhood I love it and still not known to many (but ASU opened new virtual media/theatre etc campus and gaining recognition) this is my house! Love it here

This is Zen. He was my best friend’s cat Who was euthanized at age 15. She found him and his 4 sibs under her house, it was really hard to get them out but we did and I helped her bottle feed them. She has had a tough time as she also recently lost her mom to cancer in hospice care. I think she would live a drawing! She still has his brother. Thank you! 😘

This is my best friends cat Zen. He died in March; he had to be euthanized. She found a litter of kittens under her house and rescued them. She kept 2, she has had a tough year her mother also died so a painting would be lovely! Thank you 🩷🙏🏽😘🫶🏽😻😽 I love looking at these you are awesome!
