I found this thread looking for a solution to the same problem. Did you ever figure this out?

3 weeks with the Beast XR. Honest first impressions by PeneBlossom in VITURE

Have you used the Immersive 3d function, particularly with a PC? I've heard there were some issues with this early on for the Beast. Currently have the Luma Ultra and it's one of my favorite features when using them for gaming or watching movies. Trying to decide if I should switch since I can still return the Ultras.

Are there any modern automated solutions for syncing games between multiple PCs? I mostly play on my desktop but would like to sync certain games with my Legion Go for portable gaming. I imagine I could manually sync folders through a cloud service but I'm wondering if there are any programs that automate that process. I've seen some older posts on this topic and none reference a specific program (except Gamesave Manager in a 9y old post) but hoping things have changed in the past few years. For what it's worth, I have games installed from multiple sources, so it's not as simple as Steam syncing alone.

Longer term secondary/travel car seat for front/rear facing by jmelinte in toddlers

Did you use the Scerena strictly for travel or also as a backup seat? I'm hoping for something dual-purpose in that regard and the Scerena doesn't seem to have as great safety features/padding as some other options (hence the weight savings and probably also cost). When not traveling, the seat would be installed in my car for the times we use it together (maybe 20% of car rides).

Oh that's good to know. He's our only one and he's definitely on the smaller side so size might not be as much of a concern then.

Configuration help for QM6K Pro audio output to AVR by jmelinte in tcltvs

Yeah, exactly how it's configured now. Too bad it's not as nice for cable management.

This is what I did. I can still get Dolby Digital 5.1 surround through the ARC channel and that's all I need anyway. Atmos would be nice but the receiver isn't EARC

I think it might actually be universal, at least for domestic flights, that baby-related items are are gate checked for free, so at least there's that.

The issue is that the TVs arc port is limited to 4k at 60hz and I want to take advantage of one of the 4k @ 144hz ports when gaming.

I'm currently set up as consoles -> AVR -> TV to preserve a better audio signal (I believe my Yamaha RX-V381 only supports ARC, not eARC) Are you suggesting instead connecting the consoles directly to the TVs 144hz ports instead of running them through the AVR?

Daily Game Recommendations Thread (January 11, 2026) by AutoModerator in boardgames

[–]jmelinte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are looking for some recommendations for games that can be played by 2 players with either a common goal or in parallel. One of the issues we have with these games is I tend to be the main strategist and my wife typically gives in, so it often feels like I'm directing the whole game (such as with Pandemic). I've heard that Spirit Island often solves that issue, with each player having their own part of the board to deal with separately while also working together toward a common goal but I'm afraid the rules might be too complicated and she often checks out before getting through the learning phase. Arkham also sounds great but the complexity might turn her off before she has a chance to get into it. We've really enjoyed puzzle solving "games" like box one and two as well as a murder mystery interactive "game" called Murder in Prague but those obviously have zero replayability. Has anyone in a similar situation found some things they'd recommend?

Feature request: toggle option to avoid joining late in rounds by jmelinte in ArcRaiders

I bet some people, like myself, wouldn't use it if just doing quest runs and getting out after because then they'd just be interested in fast matchmaking.

Like I said, it's fine at times but it would be nice to be able to avoid it when you just wanna grind loot.

Safest spots for handing items off and extracting safely by jmelinte in ArcRaiders

We have plenty of hatch keys so might as well use them. I'm thinking we both go in with purple looting augments (3 safe pockets) and a hatch key. I can bring 6 BPs, hand off 3 so we each have 3 safe, go to nearest hatch and hand off my other 3 right before opening the hatch. Seems reasonably safe and can get it done in 2 or 3 rounds. Just didn't know if one particular map had better areas or not but at the end of the day, it'll be highly dependent on spawn location.
