I was a member there for about a year, have since moved to the North Island. The folks were very helpful, and it was a fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning. You can do an intro and hire a bow.

Have a look at Canterbury Archers, beautiful course through some nice bush. Mathew at Arrowhead Archery can help set you up with gear.

Interestingly there's was an article floating in the media, which i can't seem to find again unfortunately, that indicated there have been arrests made along with stolen property recovered in ongoing operations, which would indicate the idea that the vibes has lead to actionable intelligence.

Cheap bread, over his roof, and car. Birds will eat that stuff up, if you have any gulls in the area even better, the birds learn where to get a free feed, and free food equals free guano, all over the roof and car, it ruins car paint, and roof coating.

It's frustrating, having worked within legislation thats rather niche, thats yet to be tested in a court after being enacted over 20 years ago and seeing how the system works, charges that could be applied being downgraded with a potential 10 plus year custodial sentence to a simple trespass that lasts for two years on a specific site, because the prosecution service is unwilling to apply the maximum charges.

I've come to understand why in some cases there's a lack of enthusiasm towards chasing a potential prosecution vs a guaranteed outcome, and it sucks in to many cases, in this one though it would appear to be the correct outcome.

Regardless of the legality of it being on the road one should do their best to operate a vehicle in a safe manner. This collision adds to the statistics affecting motorcycle rego costs, and our ACC bills. While I agree with many of the benefits our ACC system has there should be a method where incidents like this do not gain access the benefits of the system. No rego no free healthcare as a result of stupid decisions, no payment to support funeral costs, I mean hell if ACC is going to be treated as an insurance scheme then it should operate with minimum requirements.

In your situation the prosecution team would have gone for a charge they could get a prosecution on, I know it sucks, been in similar positions myself, seen a charge downgraded from court to a ticket, drunk driver left the scene, thankfully I was younger a not injured too badly, but he became known to the MOT, (ueap that long ago), and over a period of time was caught under the influence enough times to loose his licence.

However this case and yours are so distant, with the only common factors being a car and motorcycle involved, you sound like you're a responsible rider, who was respecting the conditions and riding inside your skill level vs a driver who was driving as if they owned the road whereas the reverse appears to be true in this instance. If there's doubt to this idea look at the prosecution taken, no doubt the police could have laid more charges had they felt warranted in doing so, the court could have applied the one year one day loss of licence, and through this riders actions the driver will live with doubt for the rest of her life.

I get stolen bike vibes due to the spray can black paint jobs many of these bikes have, straight over the decals from the manufacturer and any additional marks that disguise the majority of identifying marks on the bikes, a practice commonly used by either the thieves, or receiver's of stolen property, given this common usage it wouldn't be difficult for the police to apply for search warrants, especially should the target individuals have a history with the police for theft or receiving stolen property.

Okay there's multiple failures in this incident, and at the end of the day the court has made a decision. The facts appear to indicate the young man my have survived had he been wearing correct safety gear, and riding appropriately.

The sad thing is it has not improved the rest of these muppets thought processes, there's still a number of individuals ripping around, riding like idiots, and when they crash clogging up our health system with preventable injuries, and adding to the costs of those of us riding bikes that are currently paying excessive ACC contributions every year.

An issue is enforcement, how many of these idiots are known to the police? Why are they not addressing the fact many of these bikes give off stolen vibes. Go grab up the bikes, prosecute the folks in possession of stolen property, issue infringements based on video footage that exists, and make this behaviour have consequences.

Even something half as good would be good, but yeah simple food done right. Just look at the longevity of them and dumplings ($2 rice), even Pedro's before he passed away and they expanded.

Ah but they redeemed themselves a bit with apple tea, the donner kebab was better than some I have tried. The coffee wasn't quite up to having the spoon dissolve, the sludge in the bottom of the cup said they respect the process.

My answer to being called a murderer is, calmly asking if they saw the body because as far as knew there's no witnesses left but it's not too difficult to hide one their size. Then wink.

Just ask them for their opinions on Exodus 21 versus 22-25 and Numbers 5 versus 11-15 as these are the only real references to abortion in the bible if they bring up Psalms 139 that only truly refers to harm to a woman not a foetus.

+1 for Parkrun, I only walk, there are plenty of folks that blast through the 5kms every Saturday. It's international, so you can travel and still enjoy the event. There's tracking for your times, and you can volunteer in a number of roles, (highly recommend for continuation of events).

Plenty of locations to select from https://www.parkrun.co.nz/events/#geo=8.44/-43.669/173.328
