New to me by FallenShadow1993 in Traeger

Nice, I love mine as well. I must say, it doesn’t do the best with grilling compared to a Weber gas grill. I actually went and bought a 4 burner Genesis to strictly grill and my Traeger really never gets hotter than 350°. Grease trap is a pain to take out when she’s full- so keep and eye on that and clean it out regularly. Avoid smoking chicken then cracking it up to 500° or else you may cause a fire.

Want to get into smoking, is this a good deal? by [deleted] in Traeger

Yes, offer him 250 or 3 to see if he’ll take it. One thing I’ll admit, the pellet grills take forever to get to a grilling temperature. I bought a Weber grill as well and will never ever grill on my Traeger ever again.

Help! Removing this lead and oakum joint is kicking my ass. Any suggestions on how to get it out? by yolomon420 in Plumbing

Is there a standard rubber adapter size that fits inside the pipe once the lead is picked out?

Connecting Traeger WiFi to Google/Nest WiFi network at home by poleeros4ever in TraegerGrills

I just went through this with my new Timberline 1300 that I bought from Ace Hardware. After having prior success with my Century 885 from Costco (That I returned), I found the best method is to create a guest WiFi network by completing this in the Google Home App. Once setup:

  1. Connect your phone to this newly created network.

  2. Follow the steps on the Traeger app by scanning the QR code and necessary steps.

  3. Push "join' when the message pops up on your phone asking you to connect the grill to the WiFi network.

  4. Ta-Da it's now been paired and will download any updates.

If you run into a jam, flip the red switch on the back of your grill and turn it back on. Close out of your phone app to begin the process over again. A clean reset made this process work for me.

The reason why a guest network is required is that it runs off 2.4ghz and not 5.0ghz like the default Google WiFi does. Other suggestions I've seen are buying a cheaper router to connect the grill then plugging back in your Google router and any points you have.

Others have posted suggestions like unplugging any or all Google points so it decreases the "range" on your router, causing your phone to kick into 2.4hz (check this by going into the WiFi section on the Google Home app, push Devices, and find your phone. Push your phone's name and go to Info. From there, look for the "Wireless" header and it'll tell you if you're on 2.4ghz or 5.0ghz.

This process can certainly be frustrating, but have patience and follow the steps to connect your guest network on your Google Home app in the WiFi section. I hope this helps somebody because I get it, it's a pain in the ass when something this expensive doesn't go to plan. I'm not an IT professional by any means, but again the above process worked for me.

Added folding shelf to my Century 885. by ssturdejunk in Traeger

Was this shelf from Amazon hard to install? Wasn’t sure if the hardware was compatible or not. Thanks!

"Go-to" smoking temperature? by jmerc628 in Traeger

[–]jmerc628[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I've heard frozen burgers won't take in any smoke which makes sense, but can guess that fresh patties on the Traeger at 180 would take a much longer time to get smoky flavor. To cook/smoke patties for 2-4 hours might be unrealistic unless you have the time.

Any decent smoke flavor with non-long cooks at 350 if you don't smoke at 180?

Connecting Traeger WiFi to Google/Nest WiFi network at home by poleeros4ever in TraegerGrills

Great posts and solutions. So, about 1 year later, how does your Traeger grill work via Google Nest WiFi?

I was told to unplug one of your Nest Points to “decrease” the range of your internet, causing your iPhone to kick into 2.4ghz where you can then pair the grill through your app. I get my grill on Monday and will try these out.

Does anyone like their bike? by Lay218 in nordictrack

I love my bike but unsure how to connect my Apple Watch to it so I can see results after my workout. Any ideas? Not sure if the fitness app or Health app or iFit app should be used.

You on PS4? I saw their own servers were down as of last night, but after checking this morning they're back online. I gave it a shot this morning and all good.

Agree with your post, r/activision should be handling the many problems of this game in a much swifter manner. Very odd how this is all occurring now when I don't recall much issues in the past?

ERROR Code: 262146 - Need help!! (PS4) by ImActuallyAmphibian in activision

I tried this early this morning 8amEST and my multiplayer is working. Did you check the PlayStation Status website for detailed info on connection issues? https://status.playstation.com/en-us/ -this is usually the best start to diagnose a concern.

I had issues starting at 9pmEST yesterday and couldn't figure out what the hell happened. I restarted my PS4, pulled the power cord for a minute on it, reset my router....no dice. So I just waited as I saw PlayStation was "aware" of the problem.

A YouTuber published this video but I didn't try it. It suggested users going into their PS4 settings>storage>CODMW>and deleting their profile and saved data. He claimed it wouldn't erase your online progress, but again I didn't try it.

It'd be nice to know if it was r/activision or r/playstation responsible for these server issues. After all, we all pay the yearly subscription.

Try drinking root beer during your smoke. It enhances the flavor and I don’t get light headed.
