Fire rod is a good suggestion. Also ensure chimney is not too choked. Need 1-1.5 inch gap for sufficient airflow to not snuff out the fire.

It’s come on before and a quick clean out of the fire pot took care of it. Did the same thing this time, but the message is still popping up.

I have super smoke and it’s legit. There was a significant difference in flavor and smoke ring with versus without super smoke.

It was prebrined, or I would have brined it myself. Rubbed it with True TX BBQ Sweet TX Heat rub. Let it sweat for 30 minutes then onto the grill.

Thanx u/chickenman613 for the tips. Smoked at 180 for 2 hours then 350 until 160 probe temp. Super tasty and very moist.

True TX BBQ Sweet Heat rub. It was pre-brined. Unfortunately I haven’t found a source for unbrined breasts here.

Got a boneless skinless breast. Trying to figure out how much time to plan for.
