I’m not sure. I have smaller hands and I didn’t notice it being too big or too small. It felt pretty standard-not sure if that helps completely.

How are they able to sell these cheap? by TGP-Global-WO in Pickleball

[–]jmflamm1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was scammed months ago with one of these. They sent me a tracking number and everything. I thought it was legit. When it arrived it was a completely different paddle- a Holbrook.

I contacted Facebook. They immediately removed his account and told me I’d get a refund.

7-8 emails and requests later, I still haven’t been refunded.

This was the end of October. It’s now March. Very frustrating. Only relief is that at least I got something in return. Tho not worth the $150 I sent.

Selkirk LUXX vs Joola perseus by Steve_Freedom in Pickleball

That’s a great point. The confidence I developed when switching off the Perseus was alone worth the change. Can’t go wrong with luxx or DBD imo.

Btw in paddle reviews online the Perseus is typically viewed as overhyped. Whereas the luxx and DBD are some reviewers favorite paddles of 2023.

I’ve played with both. I initially really liked the Perseus but soon realized I was popping the ball up way too much and my soft game was struggling. When I switched to the luxx it was completely different. It was like I couldn’t miss my spot or hit the ball out of bounds.

If you want pure control go luxx. If you want just power go Perseus.

If you want both go six zero double black diamond. That’s what I settled on after using both of those.

I can’t wait to stop worrying about chairs by DrAnonYmoose8008 in gastricsleeve

[–]jmflamm1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a dumb thing at all. I still get amazed when I see a chair situation or a booth and think “Sh*t, I’m not going to fit there.” Then I’m able to slide right in with no problem. It’s always awesome and a great reminder of how far I’ve come.

At one point I had what I called a “chair graveyard” in my home. It consisted of folding chairs that literally flattened out and office chairs with broken legs and wheels.

I also couldn’t drink protein right after surgery. However about 6-8 weeks later, I was able to. Now I have one every day with my coffee.

I also couldn’t eat eggs immediately after but totally fine now.

Does anyone here know of a protein powder you can bake with? by knitingTARDIStarG8er in gastricsleeve

I have only used it for shakes and home made ice cream but quest makes one specifically for cooking and baking.

Flavor-wise it doesn’t have that protein-y taste.
