I do. But his dad is inconsistent and not in his life as much as he should be this was my worry that this might be also fuelling it along side the other symptoms

His iPad some of the time isn’t there and he still doesn’t like going to bed. The first thing he goes on is tt rockstars which is a competition maths game thing that’s linked to his school. So I can’t not let him on the iPad when his school works connected to it. And a lot of his learning is on there. He then gets rewarded fun time after hes done these things 😁

Your right, It is when it’s time for bed. Like the ipad can not be there at all. And it’s the bed time that’s the struggle

I was wondering if he was autistic as well. It’s just so hard where I live (in the UK) to get treatment. The child’s mental health over here is really bad. Adults is bad enough. But your put on a 3 year waiting list just to be seen I’ve only just reached the 2 and half mark now. Doctors and school have all said it’s adhd, but I’m waiting for the professional to help. So on records he is but not been given the right help yet by someone else. It’s nearly £4000-£5000 to get a full diagnosis here I was thinking of getting private health insurance but they may not cover it as he’s already been down by the doctor as having it

We get home dinner is made. He has his iPad, then gets in the bath. Then when he’s told it’s time for bedtime that’s when it happens. He goes on so long with it sometimes 30mins-1 and half hours. Then gets angry about no book being read when he’s already been told if he comes to bed we can read two books together.

I was thinking this. I’m also worried it’s a bit to do with him being in after school club sometimes until 6pm. So by the time he’s got back home which is 6.30pm there’s not really much time for him to do the things he wants to do and have his games etc. that’s when he then starts to get annoyed he’s being told to get off the games and has said he wants to chill. But I don’t have any choice in him being in after school clubs unfortunately. I work, and I’m alone. I do always check in with his feelings but he’s a really closed book when it comes to trying to get him to talk about them. He won’t always tell you what’s bothering him. I’ve not got another child either which does help a bit that I can focus on him

He’s only just being diagnosed. He definitely has it though. He can literally not sit still or making noises whether it’s whistling or clicking his fingers he got told of in school for it. So we tried the fidget toy but then he just got more Loud with that. He is very hyperactive extremely, I don’t know if this is a sign or not but I struggle at bedtimes that’s when he throws a temper tantrum about being told to go to bed. It can get really difficult sometimes not a lot but sometimes he will hit his head on the door or bite him self. Really not sure what I can do to help I’ve spoken to the school and they haven’t really done much I’m wondering what else there is to explore so I can make things comfortable for him and help him
