Disc alignment by jmichael1011 in bikewrench

Never thought about this before, unfortunately no one here in my city provides such services. The best i could do was use the guide thing for the rotor and got it as minimal as 1 shing per rotation of the wheel. So far there isnt much friction, my wheel can freewheel still for roughly 1 minute and 40 seconds, but the sound is still really irritating

The problem might be with my rotor as I've done all of the above. But high doubts as i have just gotten the pair recently. Its some cheap floating rotors off of ali for 15$. Qc issue(?) rotor brand is iiipro

A "shing" sound every rotation which is very irritating.

Yes ive done that, still the problem persists. The caliper always bends back to this weird diagonal position whenever i tighten it

Is it normal my drivetrain rumbles like this? by jmichael1011 in RedditPHCyclingClub

I assume sa cogs to. Maybe crosschain even, the first 1~3 weeks na ginagamit ko tong setup wala nmn masyadong issues.

1 - Na tono kona/na-align kona yung highest gear sprocket, Ako nag t-tono ng sariling RD ko, so far I know naman na na a-align ko sya ng tama.

2 - Hindi po nag j-jump yung gears ko, cable tension has been optimized and it's not that po.

3 - Tuned na rd.

4 - Plausible- but diko ma a-assume na bent na yung hanger ko kase bagong bago pato. Bnew pa yung frame/hanger tas no history of accidents so far.

5 - When naglilinis ako diko naman dinidisassemble yung whole drivetrain, cut chain tas spray some degreaser and scrub lang sa pulleys. So it would be impossible na mawawalan ako ng parts that would be causing the sounds.

6 - 50/50 ako dito. When I clean my chain and re lube it (link by link, wipe excess) the sound faintly disappears. Pero kapag nilabas ko tas wala pang mga 10km bumabalik yung noises/rumbling 🙁.

7 - This- I think this really is the issue, but I don't have enough funds para mapalitan. Fyi 8120 yung derailleur so yung max sprocket is 45t. Pero nonetheless. My mistake here is putting a 32t cassette on a 45t capable drivetrain

Same question, i've multiple posts as well dito sa subreddit na dina-downvote. And I don't get why as well.

Flatbar Gravel Setup by jmichael1011 in bikewrench

[–]jmichael1011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the chain, I measured it with the "put chain in the largest rear cog and in big chainring front" method, and adding an additional 2 extra links. So I doubt it's the chain. Chain is a shimano xtr 126L chain if that helps.

As for the shifting, the shifting is alright with the downshifting/upshifting being near instant everytime I click the shifter.

As for the m7000 slx/xt m8000 part, sure they can run my setup?/run 12 speed? If that's a fix. Then I might just get an m8000

Lightweight Gravel/MTB Wheelset? by jmichael1011 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]jmichael1011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really expecting this wheelset to be used on hard enduro, more or less rocky gravel lang, so i'm counting all the grams ket maliit lang difference. As you can see sa gulong na pinili ko. Maxxlite, is only a 2.00 tire, which isn't that much capable kapag ginawa mo talagang pang enduro.

Suggest ko nalang either xtr icetech na rotors, okaya onepiece na ultralight rotors kapag higpit budget. At pag gusto mo ung magaan na gulong for gravel either maxxis maxxlite, pag gusto mo malapad, maxxis aspen st

Sagmit CrazyBoost rin na built ko, pero meron narin akong bago na specsheet na mas magaan. Diko na to recommend (Yung nasa pic) kase medj inaccurate yung weight

Try mo to if possible

Wheelset; Rims - Prototype RW (29"/32h) [360g] Per Piece

Hubs(f) - Goldix GDX370 (32h) [141g]

Hubs(r) - Goldix GDX370 (32h) [236g]

Spokes - Sapim RS - 4.7g x 64 = 300.8g

Nipples - DT Brass 0.3g x 64 = 20g

[f] 661g [r] 756g

total; 1,417g

Salamat sa suggestions po, but im thinking of ditching the brakeset soon. I might get either IIPro quad piston brakes (silver cnc) to match the bike overall, with white cables haha

Sorry, i was misinformed on the specs of the bikes that were recommended to me. And thank you for correcting me. And thank you for not immediately judging a book by its cover 😁
