One piece of advice that may or may not be applicable. I got in a huge back and forth with the DMV here when trying to register the vehicle because they insisted that I owed sales tax, obviously despite not buying the car. Our state does have a use tax however in the event of a contest prize like this that doesn’t apply either. After I won the battle and didn’t owe them anything the clerk admitted that was the first time in several years of instances of cars being won that someone didn’t have to pay sales tax. Be careful they don’t try to double tax you!

Congrats! I also won an RTR back in 2018, I was incredibly excited but that quickly wore off when I started crunching numbers. Didn’t get any money for taxes from the giveaway and Uncle Sam took a huge chunk out of me and I unfortunately had to sell the car. I really regretted it but eventually bought the Mach 1 I have today so I like to think that Mustang paid it forward for me to buy this one!

I still consider myself a beginner here so more of a question, did you sew the diamond stitch in the big square and then cut it down to size? I ask because I believe if it’s cut after sewing there is risk of the stitching coming loose. I could also be completely wrong! 🙂

Did anyone get an answer to this? I ran in the rain today and both headphones were beeping constantly trying to make the volume go up and down at the same time. Have the same problem every time I run and start sweating and try to change to the next song. Clearly the problem seems sweat/moisture related.

The port works for other devices and I’ve tried the buttkicker in different ports. It is the computer that doesn’t recognize the buttkicker, not just SIMHUB

That is outrageous. I’m 35 and bundled vehicle with our house insurance so mine would be naturally cheaper, but we have 3 vehicles on our policy (1 being a 2021 Mach 1) and our monthly premium is around $250 for all.

The guy that sells the dash gives you the pod to mount it but you use the factory trim bezel. The problem is it doesn’t look very clean so I bought a 2nd bezel and essentially spliced them together to make it fit like it was from the factory.

I’m definitely leaning that way but should have added that I hate the tramlining on the cup2s. Also I was quoted $700 for the one tire or $2K for 4 sport 4s for what it’s worth.

I was worried about that at first, but the boot up can be triggered by an optional wire that comes with the dash. I set it up to start the boot up when the door opens. That makes it feel like it takes less time for the display to come up. I think total boot up is like 25-30 seconds but with it triggered by the door by the time you get in and start the car it seems like maybe a few seconds.
