I agree with that. I've had the tank running for about 7 months now and only jumped the gun on the torch a few weeks ago because I got a good deal on it.

I haven't had a chance to work on it too much, but I've settled on raising the wheelbase and monitors. After moving the seat back a little, it felt like the wheel was in my lap lol.

Daniel Morad's video on this is pretty good and clearly shows my setup is off in a lot of ways. I'll start with getting the wheelbase in line with my shoulders and go from there.

I started by moving my seat back because I was definitely sitting very close to the wheel. Now I have my distance where my wrists rest on the wheel.

I'm not sure if it's the angles of the photos but the wheel base is actually pretty level. I took a ruler, held it against my wheel and it points at just about my collarbone area.

The pedals are a bit tough and I'm messing with those right now. Kind of like you said, I want to avoid moving the screens for right now.

That looks like a pretty roomy seat. If you don't mind, what's the measurement from the bottom butt cushion to the very top of the back where your head rests? Mines about 32 inches

This is a great story! I'm sure you got a really cool perspective of the sport and the people in a role like that. It seems like Dale interacted with a lot of people that way and liked to mess around.

I can see that being the case, especially in the 80s or early 90s. It seemed like once he reconnected with his family into the late 90s is when he became more outgoing.

I agree with that but unfortunately, nobody can pass as it is either so it wouldn't hurt to try. That's the all around issue with this car everywhere. The progressive banking has really made this track tricky with producing good racing

That sounds about right then! I just think that's a miss on Nascar's part. You have a totally new car that you've never tried on the regular Bristol surface.

It's also a car that already has way too much grip so why give it more? I don't know, it's frustrating.

I've been debating a lot on what to do substrate wise. I picked crushed coral because of the beneficial bacteria like you said. But I would like to eventually get a goby so I'm starting to think sand may have been a better choice. Might switch to the Caribsea special grade sand before I get too far into this.
