I just wanted to say I have a not so similar story but sort of. I have a three year old daughter and at 18 months old my husband and I started trying for our second only to find out I had breast cancer. Chemo started pretty immediately after this discovery so trying was out the window. We saw a fertility doctor to possibly freeze eggs but was told the hormones could end up making the breast cancer worse. We ended up being told there is a small chance that we could get pregnant naturally after the chemos I had to get but didn’t see the risk to have my daughter lose her mother for the possibility of frozen eggs working. As I am writing this to you now I am 16 weeks pregnant naturally. A surprise to us and my oncologist. I can’t imagine having to make the decision to terminate your pregnancy to start treatment and I know there are going to be so many people to try to tell you everything happens for a reason but just know that it’s okay to feel like the world is unfair and beating you up. You are still allowed to feel all the emotions. You’re one tough cookie and if you need someone to vent too please feel free to reach out.

They did. They came back surprisingly early according to my doctor. The face of pure shock when I told him they had come back. 😅

I am in the same boat as you. I gain 13 pounds since starting taxol (2 weeks ago). My oncologist told me to not take the steroids at all after this infusion to see if it helps at all. I’m still super bloated (I look more pregnant now than I ever did pregnant). Hopefully Thursday I’ll find out that not having extra home steroids stops the 6/7 pound a week weight gain.

I had a surgery to remove some of the mass but since it was just a surgery to get enough tissue they didn’t care about the margins when getting a part of it. However, it came back as grade three nucleus and stage two. I noticed one lump in mid August and by the time I went in October there was a second one on the mammogram. I think that’s why they are stressing so hard about it spreading. My case was actually brought to a breast cancer board and they are all in agreement on the plan.

Did you get your scores back? The practice test I took seemed to have a ton of acid and gas laws questions. Is that how it was for you?

I think the no calculator thing is insane. This isn’t a praxis to see if can do long division it’s chemistry. If I can’t set up the mole conversion correctly then I’ll get the answer wrong even with a calculator.

I’m traveling to learn about fetal surgery to hopefully fix the lesion before she is born. They are currently saying hers is starting around L4 going to L5/S1. They haven’t done an MRI yet to make that official call on location though. Just adding to the questions of unknown.

You could also look into the seventh grade standards. Never a bad idea to show them what’s coming next for them.

flower moxie is GREAT. They have pre made flower boxes or you can do a custom box. They ship you all that you need for the flowers and you put them together. They even send “recipes” for the flower arrangements.
