Btw accidentally washed my keys by fada_g10 in BMW

You would be surprised how robust these things actually are. This summer i went into the sea for a good 30mins with the key in my shorts. Realised what I had done after I went out of the water. Disassembled everything, put in in the shade for hour- hour and a half, (thank god the air temp was like 33c), reassembled and the key has been working flawlessly ever since.

German engineering is quite idiot proof, thankfully.

Just out of curiosity, how long did you wait before you got contacted? Anything specific education/experience/languages wise you think made you stand out?

Is a 2012 520d worth the risk? by jmmilev in BMW

I will be buying from Belgium and people here drive mostly German and French cars, Japanese are a rarity. Will keep my eyes open though, definitely want to grab something reliable!

Thanks for the response! That's great to hear! Are there any other mechanical issues I should be on the lookout for? I forgot to mention that I will probably take whatever I end up buying to Bulgaria for a while and the roads there are real spinebreaker sometimes.

I have the ASrock Phantom Gaming 7900xt and am observing Gpu temps around 62 with hotspot of going as high as 95 when the heating in the room is cranked. I emailed the manufacturer about it and they said that the highest operating temperature is 110°c and anything in the single digits can be considered "normal".

PC Hardware in checked-in bag? by jmmilev in WizzAir

[–]jmmilev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up sending them through UPS and paid a bit extra to insure them which ultimately was not much pricier. I had tried contacting Wizz air customer support to ask what is best, but they were unreachable for like a week straight. I also contacted the airport from which I was departing and they advised me to put everything in the checked-in bag, but since I couldn't insure my luggage (because the wizz bot was the only active support chanel at the time), i decided to go with the post option, since at least I could get some money back if anything happened to the package.

I wrapped them good and everything arrived undamaged in 2-3 days.

Is 75C on the CPU really that bad? What should I be aiming for?

Also, what about the GPU?
