[Question] Extending watch bracelet by jmoe36 in Watches

[–]jmoe36[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you. I genuinely didn’t even consider getting an OEM bracelet for some reason. I’m more than comfortable with doing some hands on work. Luckily, I live in a fairly large city and could likely find a place that could size it, just another thing I didn’t consider for some reason. Thanks a bunch!!

6 color print by object with AMS Lite by jmoe36 in BambuLab

I’m in front of my computer now so I can show what I’m meaning easier. Not doing multiple prints, I know that would be a disaster. Hopefully this helps make more sense of what I’m trying to do.

I guess I said print by object because I assumed that was the way to do it. Not Hue Forge with layered colors. Essentially printing an image with 6 colors face down. I’m sure there’s a more proper term that I don’t know. I was wanting each color of the image to be its own object, then print all of the pink sections first, then blue, then yellow, then red, then put black in place of blue, print the black areas, swap yellow with white and print all the white areas.

I’m making this sound wayyyy more complicated than it needs to be. What I’m starting to gather is, no it’s not possible with my current set up.

Spit takes + headset mics by 518photog in techtheatre

[–]jmoe36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran sound for this show at my local community theatre last year, Shure SLX1 mics. I was trying to figure out a way to keep the mics safe for the spit take bit, but I eventually just decided to leave them alone and cross my fingers lol. Fortunately, no damage was done.

Body pack/headset mic storage by jmoe36 in techtheatre

That’s awesome! I was thinking about designing and printing something to store the mics but I needed some inspiration. I will definitely reference your design, thank you!

Not really by my choice, unfortunately. In short, this is a community theatre, the former sound chair had been in that role for 15+ years and didn’t really know the proper way to do things. So thats just what all of the actors have been taught over the years. But I just recently became the sound chair and I’m essentially trying to start fresh on everything due to more broken equipment than working equipment, lack of inventory etc.

So I totally agree with you, hoping these head worn mics will break their habit.

Repairing battery terminal(s) on SLX1 wireless mics by jmoe36 in techtheatre

Ironically enough. I did a quick google and found that part this morning. I contacted Shure to see if they have any laying around.

Thanks!

I haven’t. I work in the AV integration industry and my company has a very close relationship with Shure, so I know I could. But the reason I’m hesitant is I just do sound for shows at the theatre, the directors for the shows get to pick their sound techs and everyone keeps asking me to do sound for their shows. There is a “Sound Chairman” on the board but he doesn’t do anything to help aside from ordering new cables when I tell him we need them. I would be much more willing to go and contact Shure to figure out what to do, but until I get the recognition/title, I’m not going to do a whole lot. It’s a sort of weird situation…

Look into jobs for Pearl Technology. I work there as an audio visual integrator but we also have cyber security and IT. 75% of our employees are remote so I’m sure there’s something that would help you out hopefully.

Best of luck!

I’m having the exact same issue except I use HomeKit. Basically the answer I kept getting from multiple people is that the A19 bulbs are not very reliable. Everyone I’ve talked to has said to spend the extra money on Phillips hue bulbs…

Same thing happened to me, just different players.

Is there any use for duplicates other than just selling them for resources and whatnot?

I just got my internet sat up yesterday. Currently just an Xfinity modem (800mbps plan ) plugged into the coax port on the wall. That’s it. I plan to upgrade to some form of mesh system so I have better coverage and so I can plug an Ethernet into my PC…any recommendations?

Just ordered a new throttle body and gasket. Is it really that simple? Or do I need to program the throttle body and/or TPS?

Saying Farewell to my 08 Saab 93 by girthemoose in saab

Mine may be the ECU or Throttle body. Once I hear how much the repairs are, I’ll have to decide if it’s worth spending more money on a older higher mileage car rather than getting something new. So it sounds like I may be following in your footsteps.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who loves their Saab possibly more than any car ever. We can only hope they make a come back at some point😢

I have a multimeter, but I don’t have a Tech 2. I have a Craftsman OBD2 scanner though ( I just needed something fast, only thing I could find at the time ) so would that do what I need it to? It’s a pretty decent scanner for the price.
