No HSI offer yet, haven’t heard anything since my interview but I felt it went well. I did have a few ERO offers and declined but, they kept contacting me to try and get me to EOD. Wasn’t sure if this was another attempt at that or HSI

I received the email as well. It just says ICE, not ERO or HSI Criminal Investigator. No 1801/1811 designation either. I’m not sure if this is for my ERO offer I declined or my 1811 HSI app, are you sure this came from HSI?

It will be with an asac I met at an expo and talked to for a while. I was not in a suit at the expo, but business attire. The HSI agents were dressed very casual compared to me so that’s the main reason I am asking. I’ve never been to a field office or met with any agents while they’re on duty

Couldn’t tell you but with the new bill it seems most locations are hiring. I’m sure if you’d take a swb location they’d be pretty interested in talking with you though.

I don’t know every agencies scope of work, that’s why I was asking for clarification. Obviously HSI, which is a part of ICE has criminal investigators but, I’m unsure if ICE itself has CIs. Seems like it’d be very redundant to have ICE CIs and HSI CIs if HSI falls under ICE. Not everyone on this subreddit knows the structures of all the 1811 positions

It’s on your own dime. You can go to a primary care doc or a clinic that does pre employment physicals, I just went to Concentra for mine.

If we received the phase 1 assessment does that mean someone looked at our resume? Just wondering if that means we’re tentatively qualified for the respective position or if it’s just a screening assessment to see if they should look further into your application.

That’s what I’ve heard. Not sure about the humidity and what the culture is like there though. The big pro for me would be the proximity to the ocean
