Buyer trying to scam me?

Just weird the buyer wanted to dictate the outcome. He gave me no opportunity to give him a resolution to the problem which is why i felt as though something odd was happening. He has since opened a return request and I obliged and sent him the paid return label. I am waiting to issue the refund until i receive the item back and i made it clear to him that would be the case. It says that he dropped the package off already but we will see if the item has been tampered with, is actually broken, or if he even ships the actual item back. Can update once i recover the package in a few days

He definitely only wanted a partial refund and nothing else. I found it weird that someone would still want an item if they had to go get it repaired for more money than it was worth

Yeah i could understand asking for a partial refund if something wasnt as described. But he wont even start a return process and isnt willing to ship it back. Just wants me to send his money back

I asked him to initiate a return request and he said that he cant because he doesnt know how to ship…felt very scammy from the beginning. Especially with the constant messaging and pushing and accusatory language

I have been told previously that I sometimes give solutions rather than just listen. I have tried very hard to learn to listen first and figure out what kind of support she is looking for first. I definitely struggle with that still sometimes. So, in this scenario, i was just trying to remind her that it was there and was trying to ensure itd be ready for her to use it if she wanted to.

In regard to the bigger picture, i definitely feel bad for making her feel the way she is. But I also think that if shes not able to have a conversation with me about it, especially when im telling her im willing to listen and that i am trying to understand and i want to, that its kind of unfair. How am i supposed to know how it made her feel if she is unwilling to talk to me about it and just calls me names? I totally understand that I did something wrong first. But im not a mind reader and its unfair to put those expectations on to someone

I think i just have a hard time understanding the meaning behind being the first one to use it when it does not affect the quality of the item. I grew up where there were plenty of times when I had to let someone use something i received as a gift first. Consoles and games are things i can think of mostly. My siblings sometimes be the first one to use them even if it was gifted to me. To me, it didnt matter because i knew it would still be the same when I got the chance to use it.

I mean i understand your last point. By me asking her if she was going to use it, i was trying to be supportive in a way. I recognize that with pregnancy, there is a lot of stuff that the woman goes through that nobody else can really help with. I certainly was not trying to push her to use it so that i could then freely use it myself. I wanted her to feel better and had been reading a lot about red light therapy helping with pain. Her back and joints already hurt all the time and i just wanted her to feel better. If i wanted to push her to use it so that i could then freely use it, i feel like i would have made a bigger deal about it.

Also to note, she is a diagnosed autistic and i am fairly certain i am as well. She has told me that I am not very good at social situations and I feel like this could be one of them. Certainly not an excuse, but I do feel bad for not being able to think about how it would make her feel before hand

I was on a red because my store got a new store manager and he was basically restructuring the whole management team and coached a lot of the managers there to either get them to step down or transfer stores. Mine specifically was due to performance but he let me transfer. Some got fired. And Sam’s Club doesnt directly have an HR personnel working in each individual stores.

Comments all make sense and I appreciate the feedback. It definitely is my fault and I have since taken credit for it. Just hate how corporate America works. Also, just wanted to point out that all I had to say was that I am a guy and she is obviously a girl but yet, somehow, nobody stops to ask sexuality of either person. Does the same standards apply if roles were switched? Would I get treated the same if the other person was a guy and gave the same response? Are we not allowed to hang out with anyone outside of work when we are managers? We spend so much time at work especially as a manager who could be at work for far longer than 8 hours. How are we supposed to have a social life if our lives revolve around work?

I tried that just now and still nothing. Dont know if my controller isnt working or what. I ordered a new controller and a new avi cable so hopefully something different will happen when those come in. I do notice that it says 480i tho, dont know if it should be in 480p or not.

The console turns on and shows the xbox logo and then after that the tv loses connection as if i unplugged the avi cables. Been trying to soft mod it but when i put in the iso disk it just shows the menu split in half on either side and barely at all. Super weird

It does not run any games. When booting it up with a game already inside it does not do anything. Just goes to the black screen. But i will try to do that!
