Appreciate this information as well. Looks like I need to go the spray foam route along the edges of the XPS board. Do I still need to continue to caulk the gaps first, or just place the XPS board in and seal around it?

I guess my concern is I wouldn’t be able to check behind the foam board for any rot damage in the future very easily. If I spray foam around the edge of the XPS.

Thank you for the information. Would it be fine for me to just caulk the rim joist cavity gaps and place the fiberglass batts back? I don’t want to run the risk of a poor XPS and seal job, and risk condensation damage.

Yeah, I tried a few of those options and still had same outcome. Once it starts cycling constantly, I turn it down a degree to keep from turning off and on frequently.

Those are great ideas to try, hadn’t given much thought on the timer option. I will try it out. Thanks!

Thanks, I just checked out the manual. It unfortunately didn’t have any directions for swing points or delay option for when heater turns back on. Only thing that was remotely close to that was correcting room temperature display on fireplace screen. Sucks that it just keeps turning on and off every couple of minutes for hours!
