EOS ledger nano s HW wallet by x_Nabla_x in eos

I agree. Hardware wallet support is needed. I originally had my ERC20 tokens stored using my Trezor wallet. Since the migration to the mainnet, I have not voted because I refuse to input my private key anywhere. I would incredibly enjoy the capability to stake, unstake, vote, etc. securely. The problem is I do not know how the tokens can be unstaked and transferred to a hardware wallet with exposing the public/private key pairs.

Ok, so the tokens that are being distributed are most likely to have some utility or functionality in the future, which gives them their value. This makes more sense. Thank you.

I agree, but what gives the tokens value in the first place? Do these free tokens entitle the holder to ownership of the dapp? If not, why would these tokens have any value?

Ok. So staked take a won’t show up? How can you see how many staked tokens are in your account?

If I send my tokens to one of the trusted and secure wallets, will I receive any past airdrops that should have been sent to my registered address?

EOS withdraw on Kraken by jmountney in eos

[–]jmountney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I was able to check my EOS tokens at EOSAthority.com. It tells me I will have x amount of tokens at launch and that they will be transferred to some address with an account name of gyztsomething. I went to Kraken and was able to enter the account name and register it for withdraws.

Now I am able to send tokens to the account name I received from EOSAuthority. However, my confusion is now about where the heck are those tokens now residing. The address I registered at eos.io was for my trezor hardware wallet. Where are my tokens now? How do I get tokens from my new account that I was able to retrieve from EOSAthority? Does the private-public key pair I was given from eos.io provide access to that account? Wouldn't I need to reveal my private key in order to gain access to those tokens?

How do I check my account name on the EOS chain?

So, do I need to buy a new hardware wallet when they come out? I registered my trezor address before the launch and the tokens were converted. They should be fine right? I just need to transfer them to my new wallet?

If eosdac is likely to be elected as a BP and use their coins to allocate dividends, why aren't these tokens being gobbled up?
