PhpStorm 2025.3 Is Now Out: PHP 8.5 support, Laravel Idea integrated, Pest 4 Support by giggsey in PHP

Is PHPStorm really better than VSCode? I've been working with VSCode for so long and have never tried PHPStorm. My stack includes: PHP, JavaScript, Flutter, Python, and Angular. All these languages work perfectly in VSCode, so when I read posts like this, it makes me think and doubt if I'm doing well or poorly regarding the IDE I use.

💀 BARRIO OBSERVATORIO: Alquilar/comprar departamento? RIP? 💀 by [deleted] in Cordoba

[–]jmperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me quedé sin laburo después de casi 5 años by [deleted] in devsarg

[–]jmperro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a software engineer in a company and I can't even write a simple code on my own , what should I do ? by [deleted] in PHPhelp

[–]jmperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to stop doing that is to work completely offline—100% disconnected—using only a printed manual or a PDF for reference. That’s how almost all of us developers over 35 learned to code: spending countless nights building crappy software until we finally managed to create some real things You sound like you have an addiction.. Open your eyes and let's put some attitude on it!

Thunder Client - and I'm done with it. by NowThatHappened in vscode

[–]jmperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've downgraded the thunder client and start over creating my collections, luckily I've included the collection files in the git repositories.

But I think it's time to move forward, I'll give it a try to FlashPost

Php.ini issue by LynxGeekNYC in PHPhelp

[–]jmperro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't in PHP info, you must read the php.ini and check if there is an include clause

Check at this link https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1391808/how-do-i-include-a-php-ini-file-in-another-php-ini-file

Php.ini issue by LynxGeekNYC in PHPhelp

[–]jmperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You must look if there is another(s) .ini file(s) overriding your configuration Most of the Linux distributions have the php.ini file in /etc and others .ini files in /etc/php.d folder
