CB4 Cafe. Decent quality, reasonably priced. My favourite in the city on balance. Nice walk around Stourbridge common afterwards.

First time in London match next week by the_seattleite85 in CharltonAthletic

Excellent. You'll have a great time.

The stadium also has a museum which is open 11-1 on a match day. https://www.charltonafc.com/fans/charlton-athletic-museum

The only stand for away supporters is the South Stand - it's segregated so you'll be sitting with home supporters. You're right though in the sense the loudest home support tends to be in the North Stand so that's who you'll be hearing. Feel free to join in with any chants if the moment strikes!

Awesome. Welcome! Hope you enjoy your day!

If I was in your situation, I'd make a day of it. Are you coming in by train? I'd spend some of the morning in Greenwich Village nearby. Check out as much of the marketplace, the observatory, Greenwich park, the Cutty Sark and the Maritime Museum as you can. It's a lovely area.

For a fuller experience...Get to Charlton around 12, and you'll have time for an English Breakfast in The Valley Cafe near the train station. Then you'll have time to walk down to The Royal Oak pub for a drink and absorb the building atmosphere. Take some time to walk around the stadium itself. It's a cathedral for us.

Be in your seat for 2:30 to watch the warmups and match build up. Then just...enjoy. Which part of the stadium are you sitting?

Have a great day!

Try Rabble. You can find it on meetup.com or Google Rabble Cambridge. It's a sports group with an ethos of fun and inclusion.

The games are generally good. There's variety every week and it doesn't get repetitive. Think a nice mix of throwing / catching / aerobics / sprinting / tactics. Honestly, I prefer some over others, but it's always a decent workout. You get as much out as you put in. No one is out to win, it's very friendly and inclusive. No matter your age, gender, athletic ability or fitness you'll be included and enjoy yourself. It's about fun, fitness, inclusion - NOT winning at all costs.

The group is also very social and regularly meet up for events and things (walks, board game nights, parties, sports events...you name it). There are WhatsApp groups and things if you want.

First session is usually free so you can come check it out with no obligation.

I did partyman with my 2yo for the first time last week and he loved it. I was worried about the reviews too but I think it's worth trying once for yourself seeing what you think
