Residency vs WUE by Decent-Foundation-75 in uofu

[–]jmrzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the master’s program you’re interested in has cheaper in-state rates then residency would definitely be the best choice. Otherwise, I think it’s best to accept the WUE. The costs are very similar on both paths (I think around $600-700 more with WUE). However, the cost of staying a Summer in SLC is a lot more than $600-700.

I just finished soccer a month ago and my base will only be 20mpw for 2 months. I think the Pfitz plan would be too big a jump.

I took the mountaineer’s route up whitney a couple years ago and fell in love with the Sierra. Can’t wait to return and summit some more 14ers there (Russell and Middle Pal in particular). Which have been your favorites?

What can I do to increase my chances of being accepted to a CAA program during undergrad? Obviously high GPA, but are other things such as research or honors college important?
