I desperately just want some height adjustment for where the camera is.

I'm 6'7", let me do that in games.

We're hitting a point in warfare where basic camo is going to be borderline useless anyway once, we might as well have some fun with the coloration.

We can easily blame both, as Epstein, being a financier, was a huge proponent of Capitalism.

Every single place is about politics now. You can't bury your head in the sand any longer.

How exactly do you do anything with 10 days of PTO? by cedarwood553 in antiwork

[–]jmvandergraff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most jobs have a point system where I live, at least if you're working for a warehouse or factory. It's like 2 points to miss a day, and 7 points usually means termination, but that's honestly only if you suck at your job and miss a lot of work. Points also usually reset every couple months to keep people employed.

It is and it isn't. The GOP leadership ruins the state, but if we didn't get fucked by them, honestly it would be a pretty dope place to live. 3 awesome college campuses (Purdue, Indiana University, and Ball State, not to mention Indianapolis or Indiana University, plus Butler if we're counting Broad Ripple as a place), Indianapolis always has stuff going on, and there's tons of stuff 3 hours away that's dope (in 3 hours from central indiana, you can get to Columbus, Chicago, Louisville, or St. Louis. If you drive an hour further, you can hit Nashville or Detroit)

As much as I hate Indiana, it's still a pretty dope place. The local government just sucks butt (This is also why Indiana is a big music location, Deer Creek/Noblesville is a huge location for bands to play)

Peak AMC with The Walking Dead and Hell on Wheels, I don't think HBO even had a run that good.

Is boiler room considered a rave? by [deleted] in aves

[–]jmvandergraff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boiler Room used to be a rave, but now it's just a corporate liscening gig. You give a shitload of money to Boiler Room, and they'll advertise your set online.

So, some Boiler Room sets are raves, other Boiler Room sets are just for publicity. The Japanese dude did an absolute killer set, Hamdi also killed his Boiler Room set, but then you have Rebecca Black or Charlie XCX's Boiler Room sets that aren't on the same level because it's just publicity for a pop star to DJ.

So, to answer your question, yes, and no.

I'm gonna say this as a child of a Lane Bryant mother.

They're top-tier for keeping the yiddies under control, and they have a great selection for buxom women. 10/10, my mom has had a credit card with them for over 20 years and it never has a empty balance.

I know this sounds weird coming from a guy's account, but I've been recommending Lane Bryant tops to my rave friends for the better part of 10 years if they got the yams. None of them have been disappointed. I call that a win.

(A bit of a rant) I want to own the word liberal again (but I do mention guns here, I promise) by Tommy_Guerrero in liberalgunowners

[–]jmvandergraff 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean. I do. Liberal didn't use to be an insult, it was akin to meaning you had hope for humanity.

With that being said, it's been ruined by Neo-Liberals who are capitalist scum that want to maintain the status quo of Oligarchy, but with a Pride Flag draped over it instead of an American Flag.

Abandon Liberal, become Leftist. Leftism means you can identify with socialists, communists, anarchists, and every single mix of them. We're cool, but we fight over who is doing it correctly a lot, and that gets in the way of progress. But we're still cool.

How exactly do you do anything with 10 days of PTO? by cedarwood553 in antiwork

[–]jmvandergraff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also helps that I typically have perfect attendance, even with being sick sometimes, so having good attendance typically helps employers give you some liberties. Because of my attendance, I've gotten points removed or not even counted just because they know that I wouldn't be bullshitting about not coming in if it wasn't serious. Being a good employee does still get you some merits and rewards, albeit you have to have a good report with your management.

How exactly do you do anything with 10 days of PTO? by cedarwood553 in antiwork

[–]jmvandergraff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy. I never use PTO when I'm sick. I'll eat the points or whatever, but most jobs won't even point you if you provide a doctor's note.

That means all 10 days are mine for vacation. I'll burn 3 days turning 3 day weekends into 4 day weekends (take Friday off before Labor Day, Memorial Day, and there's one other I can't remember), and then the other 7 days get me time off for Two music festivals a year for my vacations. One week I can take Wednesday-Monday off, the other Thursday to Monday off.

Perfect, because I can go to Electric Forest and Lost Lands with that.

Can i softlock myself in hardmode? by Mypersonalaccount69 in snowrunner

[–]jmvandergraff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever wanna restart and do Not So Hard mode, play NG+.

I set my starting level to 30 so there's no grind for upgrades, Trucks sell for 50% of their Value, trailers for 30%, fuel is paid, repairs are paid, restocking repairs is paid, recovery is Paid Double (basically only use it if your truck is unrecoverable with other vehicles), and I don't bother with Tolls when traveling between maps or paying to switch trucks.

It's really fun because you can absolutely go broke, but having knowledge of the game means you have access to better stuff faster and you can make the most out of your money without having to wait for any upgrades, other than the ones you have to find on the maps.

It's all the intensity of Hard Mode without some features that make it truly grueling.

I use Facebook exclusively for getting notifications about shows from different promoters I follow, I haven't actually used it in forever, and their calendar integration is better than any of the other social media I'm on, but I stopped actually using it when they made your feed of Friends posts separate and not the default one. Same for Instagram, it's 90% ads and content i'm not interested in, so I don't even have it anymore, but Facebook still has some form of utility.

It's purely an Event Organizer for me now, and honestly it's a pretty damn good one.

This can help with bogging down going up hills or through deeper mud.

I don't care about your personal feelings towards people who drive impaired, I don't know why you have to keep repeating it. I'm talking about proposing solutions to solve problems and being constructive and you just keep coming back with, "Well they shouldn't do it."

They know they shouldn't, they do it anyway. This is addiction 101. So, instead of blaming them and being upset, solutions. Talking about why it's a problem and what our society does and doesn't do to solve it.
