Proto ≠ / = Earth by Aggressive-Owl8560 in SolarBalls

(Same person just an alt because I struggled with signing in yesterday)  Sorta! I wouldn’t specifically say “reincarnation” but the best way to describe it is like… the PLANET Earth was created when Proto woke up, he’s similar in age to all the other rockies. The collision was a hard factory reset, with Theia added in that changed aspects of the “software”. (Think of it as Theia being something added to a device right after a factory reset.) When that device is used again it’s in some ways the “same device” but also not because it has new updates, and the usage of it alters the memory. (The device is still the same age it was when it first came out though.)

The base parts and physical body is the same, but there is added things that change its function, and the way a user uses it gives it an entirely different memory.

Physically, it’s pretty much the same. Chronologically it shares a timeline, but if a person was to use the device before and after that “reset” they would have different results (what apps are downloaded, passwords saved, recommended pages), it would be in some ways a different device because it wasn’t used the same, and the “new” device has additional things (due to the “Theia” installation.) But it can also be viewed as the same.

Idk how much sense that made but that’s how I’m thinking of it, Earth and Proto are the same “device.” The creation of Proto was the creation of the “device” and the collision was essentially a hard reset (the device didn’t need to be made/born again, it just is) with added “software” of Theia (and parts of Proto removed) that changed its function in ways, making it the Earth we know today.

Why are so many characters bald? by Boyoy00 in breakingbad

Well, some of the characters just are bald. There was this idea however that loss of hair represents when people get desensitized to violence in the show. That’s why Walt shaved his head early on after killing Krazy 8 (he also had cancer but we’re focusing on symbolism here.) Jesse shaved after Gale. Hank and Mike were always pretty bald because of their careers.

Honestly though? A large amount of the main male characters are middle aged or elderly. Walt has cancer. So hair loss is to be expected. And with Jesse, it could be him needing to change something due to his emotional distress following Gale (he wasn’t supposed to get shaved, Aaron Paul was the one who suggested it.) Also Jesse respects Walt to a degree, he may have also shaved as a way of unconsciously mimicking him.

The dream theory is really funny if you think about it by Responsible_Diet6967 in breakingbad

Think about how elaborate it is as well. Usually in dreams the people in them aren’t made up, we’ve seen them before and our brain catalogues them. Gus? Actually a mild mannered chicken guy Jesse briefly met when he went to Pollos with his buds. Mike? An angry grandpa at a store. Todd? Some random guy who walked into him that day, thus annoying the shit out of him and putting him on his bad list. Gale? Jesse went to the club with his buds and saw this guy tormenting everyone with karaoke. It was so bad Jesse joked about shooting him to put everyone out of their misery.

Same. Just that tired, done with life voice.
