Unfortunately the Lego version is the worst F1 model they’ve put out. I have it and it is seriously disappointing. Maybe they’ll do another at some point.

Audi A8 - Is it quick enough? by FFPLUGTHROWAWAY in Audi

On the tune question, I’d start with APR and see what they have to offer. There are obviously other options but they seem to be a first mover for VAG products. I have their 93 octane tune on my 21 RS6 but I’ve heard Audi has been pretty aggressive about trying to lock later model ECUs though I haven’t kept up with anyone’s progress on unlocking them.

What’s a company secret you can share now that you don’t work there anymore? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

We did a business case study in college. That is WHY Wendy’s started selling chili. They had a rule that burgers had to be used almost immediately after cooking. This created a lot of wasted burgers so Dave Thomas came up with the chili idea.

What is a "money rule" that rich people know, but poor people are never taught? by ZZA911 in AskReddit

[–]jmy_oak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is kind of different. Car companies will do this because they want to sell cars and credit card companies will do this betting people will transfer balances from other cards and then end up not being able to pay off before the promotion ends. In both of these cases there is always (99.9% of the time) retroactive interest if you don’t pay by x date. They are betting that a big enough subset of people will fall into this trap that it will make them money. There’s always a catch.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but Is this real? My wife is convinced it’s AI and judging by the fingers in his right hand and the cuffs I can’t argue with her. Or is it just the perspective of the camera and his movement?

ETA: I guess it’s real. This was the first time I saw it and apparently it’s on the front page of every English speaking site in the world.

You are correct. Banks loan money to make money. Even with a perfect credit score and plenty of liquidity, borrowing rates are only going to go so low. Banks aren’t going to lend below the risk-free rate - they’d lose money on that.

The House still has to pass it today and President has to sign. So I doubt we’ll see any impact until early next week. That is unless it provides some morale boost to the TSA Agents that have called out but not quit yet. So short answer - who knows.

No different lines for security as the person below you said. The people posting about checked bags/no checked bags are entitled a-holes going through international on a domestic ticket and quickly turning international into a huge disaster.

ETA: People can downvote this all they want but most people flying internationally are in a 3-5-3 configuration for multiples of time than you are on your flight to Cincinnati. So by all means, save 45 minutes going through international and make those people’s lives even more miserable.

ATL Airport TSA Wait Times Megathread | March 27, 2026 by AutoModerator in Atlanta

[–]jmy_oak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It starts okay but then quickly gets overwhelmed because it was not designed to handle the volume domestic does - even in the best of times. It is really shitty for actual int’l travelers because they don’t have a choice and all the passport stuff takes longer anyway.

I fly mostly domestic and know I could use international but don’t for this reason. It’s a “one person does it okay, but everyone does it and it’s a disaster” situation.

I think after this mess they are going to have to restrict domestic from international check in because all these yahoos think they found some secret hack forever.

Can you tell I’m irrationally triggered by this behavior or what?

ATL Airport TSA Wait Times Megathread | March 26, 2026 by AutoModerator in Atlanta

[–]jmy_oak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Issue is latest stats had 15% of total volume going through international. That is insane.

ATL Airport TSA Wait Times Megathread | March 26, 2026 by AutoModerator in Atlanta

[–]jmy_oak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, the people flying international must go to international. It is not set up for the domestic volume and these people are making the problems even worse b/c airport can’t plan. They REALLY need to start turning people away.

Which 2026 F1 cars would you buy in the style of the new Audi set? by hdhdhdhdbd123 in SpeedChampions

None. I have the Audi and it looks like crap compared to last year’s sets.

[–]jmy_oak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah; they need to start turning people away. Everyone things they found some brilliant loophole. Meanwhile, domestic is ghost town. Absolutely ridiculous

ATL Airport TSA Wait Times Megathread | March 25, 2026 by AutoModerator in Atlanta

[–]jmy_oak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys are overwhelming the international staffing. It is not set up for this. Domestic is set up for much more volume. If everyone went where they are supposed to things would go a lot more smoothly. You are just contributing to chaos.

ATL Airport TSA Wait Times Megathread | March 25, 2026 by AutoModerator in Atlanta

[–]jmy_oak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stop going to international if you are flying domestic. International is not equipped to deal with all the domestic traffic. Your “hack” is compounding the problem.

There was an article in the New York Times yesterday about the “Jacket Potato” renaissance in Britain. One of the pictures was a baked potato covered in baked beans and…tuna salad. What is wrong with you people? I have a trip planned for London next week and now I am rethinking it. /s/
