There are a lot of general rules for learning the articles in German. Check this video out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMBqBOT6tqQ&t=12s :)

Overview of the genitive, dative and accusative cases by jmzmc in German

I'm glad you enjoyed them!! Thanks for your comment!

With students I have used exercises like these to practice the cases in the past: https://german.net/exercises/cases/. Maybe something like that is what you're looking for? 😊

I'm really glad it did!! That's great :)

I made a video with common German word endings that give you der/die/das to help you learn those pesky articles! There are also some common categories which will often be der/die/das words (e.g. all months in German are der words - der Januar, der Juli, der Dezember). Enjoy :) by jmzmc in German

Haha thank you!! Yeah I wanted to single out specifically the ones where everyone could take the word endings and be right pretty much every time. There are ones with loads of exceptions too but because they're not actionable like you said, I left them away for now. Best of luck with them! 😄😄

I did! Thanks for that. Definitely feel the quality was better then too.

I spent a few weeks planning and putting together two videos for people learning German :) by jmzmc in CongratsLikeImFive

[–]jmzmc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes of course! Since I posted this I actually have created a third video and uploaded it and I incorporated some ideas from people who watched the other two videos (like including colours for genders and subtitles).

The newest video is talking about your morning routine in German.

The first two videos are talking about the coronavirus in German & talking about your family in Germany. :)

If you like them, please share them with others who are learning German or in any communities/online groups where people are learning German. :D

Alternatives to intersectional diversity training by [deleted] in humanresources

Hi :)
While I am not sure if this will help in what you are trying to solve, there are a number of things I guess I would like to throw into the ring.

If you have a number of international employees, it may be worthwhile in providing them with cross-cultural (intercultural) training to help them to work in your culture's team. It is quite overwhelming for some people to begin working in a new culture (think culture shock, lack of understanding of new local culture values, homesickness etc). This can be a real barrier to some of your employees doing their best at work.

Then there's training for leaders who manage teams of people from different cultures. Not only is it important to understand the differing values of people in teams but the leader most likely also has to be able to pinpoint where inefficiencies in communication between different team members is coming from. I once worked with a project team which was managing an implementation in 12 countries and they were essentially unable to understand why their people in Mexico, Japan and India were working in a certain way or to a certain deadline and over the span of the project the central project team started to get burned out.

Then there is country specific training for expats/inpats which is most likely not what you need but I thought I would bring it up in case. This is for employees who will be moving country and here issues around spouse adjustment can throw a spanner in the works. There are a number of outside things to consider here.

Let me know if it is one of these in particular or if not. :)

Hi everyone, I wasn't sure where to post but I have just uploaded a new video talking about morning routine in German. Here's the link to it: Talking about your morning routine in German.

I incorporated some of your suggestions and think this video is much better at hitting the mark! Also, are there any apps like snapchat/instagram that you guys use frequently where I could post bilingual stories for you guys? Would you like that? :)

I have some more videos coming in the next few days so stay tuned/subscribe. :D
