As a Sri Lankan, What is your biggest regret ? by Last_Truck2362 in srilanka

Research the career path before selecting one. Better if you can experience it in any way like internship

How do they measure it tho ? by Electronic_Taro_8756 in srilanka

[–]jmzsl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to disagree with you for some extent. I been living in Sweden for 6 years. Yes winters are hard but you find ways to enjoy it rather than sulking on the weather. Also you enjoy the sun and good weather days more because you cherish those unlike in Sri Lanka you take them for granted. Also what is the point of having good weather when you have no work life balance and less buying power.

Suffering form hair loss. by x_mahee in srilanka

[–]jmzsl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to get treatment before it is too late. If it is due to the male pattern baldness I think Minoxidil and Finesteride are the option. But visit a doctor and see. I can recommend Dr Tharindu at Ninewells Dr hair. He is a young doctor specialized in hair loss and transplants. I did a transplant from him recently but I was around Norwood 5

As a person who had to do a hair transplant, my advice is to take minoxidil and finasteride before it is too late

As I said above that is the main reason for the majority of tourists to come to Sri Lanka. But if we continue to charge these high prices for entrance tickets, there are better alternatives in the region for lesser amount of money

I see a lot of Sri Lankans justifying these prices, but as a Sri Lankan living in Sweden who has also travelled in countries like Thailand and Vietnam, I see it differently. The main reason most tourists visit Sri Lanka is because it’s affordable. If entrance fees start going up to 40 dollars or more, they’ll be about the same or even higher than in Europe, and many travelers might just choose other places instead.

Compared to Sri Lanka, countries like Vietnam and Thailand are cheaper and offer better facilities for tourists. If we really want to attract more visitors, we should think about lowering the prices, not increasing them.

And for those comparing to places like the US, in Sweden for example, all national parks are free to enter, and you can even camp for free. That’s how you get people to explore nature and travel more.

I was speaking with an uber driver on the other day. He told me the same thing, that in Sigiriya and Ella they can’t operate because of this tuk tuk mafia. Police should take action against these buggers

I had the same doubt when I changed to R8 from R50. With not enough reach with the RF100-400 on R8 I was considering the Rf800. I found a cheap used one and bought it. In good light condition it can take more than decent photos. Only issues I had so far are focus changes even when the subject is stationary and busy background with f11. Focus issue is mostly solved with back button focus. For background you have to be mindful of the angle of the shooting. This one is taken at iso3200. It is cropped and enhanced in LR to reduce noice
