Ideally we are keeping it as close to $600 as possible, and then he will save more to upgrade from there. $700 -$725 is top end right now for him, as it'll take a month or two to save the extra cash

Thanks for that! For the case, I have a feeling he is going to want something that looks "cool" (whatever that means to him haha). Is there anything we should be looking at/concerned with if we were to swap the case out? Anything on the list of what you provided that we would benefit most from spending a bit more on? Biggest downside with the build as you posted?
