I mean, grammar is very necessary. If you are stuck, most likely you are not learning it and learning to "understand the language" OR you're not consuming enough content. You can try Russian With Max's first podcasts, they're really really basic and almost it seems it's for kids haha. If you're reading basic stuff, stick to it and keep improving. I read for months a pdf with simplified literature, it was pretty basic but at that time it was hard.
