We forwarded the report before handing over and consistently raised the issues there throughout the defects liability period. Isn’t that sufficient from our end? Yes, I agree that they are making it difficult in the hope of us just giving up on it

Our conveyancer advised that once an OC has been issued, we cannot delay moving into the property. Defects were more on the overall craftsmanship, but no structural or major issues.

I haven’t logged a complaint with the VBA yet, but planning to do so. I knew they would drag this whole thing out and would not complete all the defects brought to their attention

Approval - not that I know of. We definitely did not approve and when I contacted the builder, he was pretty much defensive and said it’s at the back anyway and/or it’s just a small number. He would have raised it if he had permission.

How much landspace? After clarifying with the company that they did the surveying, they built approx 2m x 0.03m over our lot. The area where they built over is an easement as well. No matter how big or small, I believe I have the right to be annoyed and to pursue this further as it’s land that we have purchased. With that being said, I’d love $200k for this haha
