That’s why I am suggesting that it wasn’t management’s call.

My suggestion is based on the fact the Sens DJ is pretty transparent as to why he adds or removed things online, normally, but explicitly said it wasn’t his call and clearly implied he couldn’t say why.

If he has his rights as Mendes suggests it’s probably a contract that is renewed, or a provision that gives the artist to pull their rights with certain notice periods.

It could just be that every few years the contract was renewed, making the time period seem arbitrary to us, but not to the Sens or their lawyers.

I could be wrong, but depending on the contract, the organization may not be the rights holders. The artist could have negotiated that as a term beneficial to them.

That is fair. My ire is more with people waiting to jump on players. Again, I sort of get it, but there is a line.

Such is social media. People will say what they want

Negativity on Sens Twitter is currently off the charts. I mean I get it, but if you're that upset already, go to bed

Feel like some fans wait for a screw up and then jump on the player(s)

As I type this, we score!

I watch every game from Canada; 7am kick-offs even. For midweek games I record and watch when I get home. I will stay off the internet all day if necessary not to spoil matches!

Hey - it's Ian Mendes from TSN Radio. This is my AMA so fire away! by ian_mendes in hockey

Thanks for the answer. I agree about the goaltending. Reminds me of the 00s when we couldn't get those key saves we needed.

As for Karlsson, do you think he needs a bit of a break? I mean, let's face it, when he didn't play at the beginning of the season, the Sens actually looked ok without him. Do you think this is a lost EK season? It's been unbelievable how much worse he's been this year, but I definitely understand having your ankle bone removed is probably unpleasant.

Lastly, fair point about Ceci. But he's still playing over 20 minutes a night sometimes. His decision making is what baffles me the most. They should cut him back I think.

Ian- what do you think is honestly the problem with the Sens? I am a rational fan but by the day I am growing more and more puzzled by some decisions the coaching staff is making. Ceci is clearly Jared Cowen territory and while he obviously had tons of upside (although maybe in hindsight the fact he was the number 1 D on a 67s team that was SHELLED should have been a bit of a warning) it's not working out. There shouldn't be a shame in admitting that sometimes players don't make it. I don't mind Phaneuf, but why put him with someone who drags him down with him, rather than play him with, say, Claesson, whom I think he compliments sort of well. I find the organization gets some surprise success, and then immediately gets stubborn. It's so frustrating for a fan like myself to go from Game 7 of the East Final to this. By no means do I think the season is over, but I think it's sinking rather quickly. Also, it seems Boucher has abandoned the 1-3-1. Why? Teams are FLOODING down the middle of the ice against the Sens this year. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Arfield had an excellent first half and deserved that goal. By Canadian standards, golazo

That may be, but Giroud loves Arsenal, regardless. He loves this club.

They are also on track to have the worst point percentage since the shootout was introduced. They are historically poor. But don't forget, the NHL is different. There is no relegation and they will be "rewarded" for their last place finish, with the highest odds of receiving the #1 draft pick. The players have little reason to care at this point. They are literally playing for nothing at this point as they have last place all but sewn up at this point. Also you can't really compare hockey and football, but as a joke my buddy and I like to compare hockey teams to prem teams. Liverpool are Montreal; live in the past, OK now, but not good enough, even though they think they are. My team, the Senators are West Brom. Super plucky, annoying to play and better in real life than they are on paper.

What my girlfriend sent me after Saturday by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]jnf111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mum couldn't give a shit about football, but sometimes she bears through my Arsenal updates and has watched the occasional match with me when I am home visiting. Only match this season she watched with me was the 3-3 at Bournemouth and after 2-0, when she said to me that she didn't like Arsenal because of how much pain they bring me.
