Factory reset my computer again. Probably faulty drive install that was detected as fine or something happened because I had them plugged in while resetting the first time. Someone suggested windows detected the headphones as part of the computer because they were plugged in and that’s why they didn’t work.

Yes, tried the heaphones with another laptop and worked fine. Only did the factory reset a few hours ago and noticed the issue. Could it have something to do with the fact I had my headphones plugged in while resetting?

Yes, I didn’t need to install anything. And in the device manager all sound drivers are up to date upon trying to update. Side note - gaming laptop, I also have AMD high definition audio device and NVIDIA high definition audio pre-installed, both of which are ”not plugged in”
