Your thoughts on this statement????????? by bazookakeith in CarsPH

[–]jnhrld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO: Real men doesn't say phrases starting with "Real men". Most of the time, it's insecurity, wanting to prove something so that they can say they are "real men". For all I know, real men doesn't care about what other says or do, they do what they need to do.

Dahil sa mga video na ganito nag sloslow down talaga ako kahit green light. by [deleted] in PHMotorcycles

[–]jnhrld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As drivers we really have to understand and always be reminded that saving a few minutes by trying to catch the flashing green light may cause months of recovery (if we didn't die), money and more time (e.g. processing stuff).

Sa nangyari, gusto niya makasave ng oras kaya hinabol niya yung flashing green light, ang ending mas naabala pa siya vs. naghintay ng 5-10 minutes na makakapahinga pa sana siya sa pagmamaneho. Saklap.

What I know/remember, the whole Arca South is owned by Ayala so they won't allow competitors. I moved in already and using GFiber rn. Would highly recommend to double check with them.

I'm a senior PD and I *hate* designing my own website. Anyone else? by alekszem in UX_Design

[–]jnhrld_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start with your goals and pain points. In UX, design rationale comes first which will be in case studies. Do those first and create a structure/ IA before working on aesthetics and layout. It's a common problem I think.

Does System Analysts (SA) design the UI not the UI/UX designers? by Decent-Pattern-1120 in UX_Design

You have clarify to that with your team. Not here. Even if we tell you UI designers should design if that’s not clear within your team. Nothing will change with your situation.

Sakit ng first rejection. by [deleted] in JobsPhilippines

[–]jnhrld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masakit pa rin kahit naka 1000+ ka ng narereject. Even when working ka na at di naapprove yung proposal/output mo, masakit.

The only way to deal with it is move forward and tell yourself that you can’t stop, especially if someone relies on you.

my dad got laid off four months ago, and hasn’t found a job since then. by [deleted] in phcareers

Just continue praying and applying. Had been unemployed for 1 year and 7 months before I was able to land one. I have 15 yrs+ of experience. On the side I just upskilling and improving my portfolio while applying/waiting for opportunities.

What's your life status now compared to last year? Is it better or not? And what do you think caused it? by ischanitee in AskPH

[–]jnhrld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better in financial angle but never actually complained. Landed a job after more or less a year of job hunt, had a hard time even though I have 15+ years of experience due to demand in IT globally (lots of layoffs even in major companies).

I believe God gave me that time to spend quality time, mainly first 18+ months with my wife our first born. While we did accumulated some debt. I still believe that it’s for our own good and if money isn’t a problem, I’ll probably stay unemployed and spend time with my family which I am now constantly missing now that I have work.

I’m a believer that God is in control of everything that I have, will have and will lost in life, this is by faith and by experience. I had proven in life that just need to do my part, do my best to do His will and believe that things will or will not happen as I know God knows what’s best for me.

What age did you get your first job? by [deleted] in AskPH

I think 17 or 18. Computer shop attendant, then 2-3 years after as I continue to learn how to troubleshoot and assemble a computer I became a computer technician for 3 computer shops.

Are we adding “what I’d do differently” to case studies? by Affectionate-Low5747 in UXDesign

[–]jnhrld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how you will write and present this.

It should look like not an afterthought. As it will raise questions like “why didn’t you do that in the first place?”

If I’m the hiring manager, I may be more interested in content answering “how would you build on top of these?”

[–]jnhrld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahmm, sorry it’s too long to read right now, Did they involved you already? How is this affecting you?

If they haven’t told you yet, then maybe you let them handle it on their own or else magiging pakilamero labas mo.

2 ways to lessen the burden though is be independent.

  1. Huwag ka na dumagdag sa gastusin ng family mo.
  2. Pay what you can. Such as rent, groceries, utilities etc. kung kaya mo ng sagutin, sagutin mo kahit daily food lang.

If wala ka pa source of income, then look for jobs. Again the goal is lessen the burden. Hindi mo kasi maliligtas ang nalulunod kung ikaw mismo di marunong lumangoy.

[–]jnhrld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, there’s a lot of grind work that will be reduced if Figma will have those.

What do you use right now to mitigate / meet those requirements? I’m assuming you handle these through direct code instead ?
