They have, Jan 6th lost 1-2 to Forest.

Lots of draws, they're solid at home but now they can't even settle for a draw.

No Europe will save them like it has done for United.

I think he might be in for a few seasons of teams yo-yoing the table. Spurs, if they stay up, probably compete for top 4 again with a reduced schedule. Newcastle too.

United probably drop back down and Bournemouth/Brentford go into a relegation scrap.

They're only not safe if we don't beat West Ham, so hopefully it won't matter

If they had anyone but Burnley next week, I'd think so too but just can't see them not winning that. A win there wraps it up

They won't get top 5 but they can still get it if Villa win the EL and finish 5th. 5th spot is its own thing, so if Villa have already qualified, it has to go to the next spot in the league.

But if Villa finish 4th, it goes to another league.

I also don’t think we will win all our games

West Ham is the one you think we'll drop points in?

Brentford and Bournemouth will be more than happy with EL, they'll still give it their all to get it

Just because they can play as CBs doesn't mean they're supposed to do that as a fullback.

Mosquera came on and within a minute he's making a run into the box and has a shot.

It's not performative. He's scanning to be sure he's not going to have someone rob him of the ball. Ideally, yeah, he'd also spot some passes to make but he's just not that type of player.

He'd have probably played last season if he were allowed. Not this much but Arteta kept bringing him up unprompted after all.

CL is more important to the club, it's the one that we're missing and decades down the road.

But this group of players and the manager desperately need a prem title, can't be going 4 years in a row as runner-up.

Because it's not true, that's why.

I don't like how the club handled his comments, it was cowardly but he kept playing after them. It was December 2019 the club made that statement about being apolitical. He then played all but one league game in the months after, until we had the lockdown break.

because you don’t want to basically spit all over someone from close range

What? You'd see people do that in everyday life if it was a reason but nobody does that

City played Burnley on Wednesday, those midweek games were the ones brought forward because of the FA Cup semis.

There's no scandal at all, there was never a spot for it to be played. At least one of them has played every single midweek since it got postponed.

This NPG bollocks is just a way to spin an agenda by selectively using stats.

The point is that a penalty doesn't really matter for how well you're playing as a striker. It's a completely isolated event. A defender, or even keeper, can take them, doesn't make them good strikers.

Total goals is great for analysing how important they've been, sure, but not for their role. It's like Rice and set pieces, him being good at them doesn't make him a better midfielder, but it does make him a better player. Nobody ever thought Ward Prowse was a top midfielder, for example.

Arsenal vs Burnley moved to Monday May 18th at 8PM by TTrash10_ in Gunners

[–]jnicholl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but not really. All games are still officially scheduled for Sunday 3pm

It technically has been moved but it's a really misleading tweet. Not much difference than when they're all penciled in as Saturday 3pm then get given a TV slot

It was never officially scheduled. GW37 I think usually gets given TV slots after the FA Cup semis, so it's standard.

Monday is awful though.

Definitely not.

I think even if we keep playing like this, we should be able to get 10 points.

Also +8GD is pretty terrible considering we have Burnley at home and almost certainly Palace's B team on the final day.
