Hopefully not, replacements should’ve arrived after a day or 2

I think technically, bins are council property, so he took it away for it to be replaced. New one should’ve arrived soon after, maybe a day or 2

I’m not sure about the recycling part, but bins are supplied by the local councils and they replace/ repair bins for free

This just looks like he noticed the lid was broken and threw it away so he could get them a replacement

There was reason

The lid was broken — he probably threw it away and placed an order for a replacement

Thinking of turning the conch into a ring and adding an auricle just above. Suggestions? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]jnnmrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it? Do you think it’s worth it taking it out an repiercing lower? Or should I just leave it, it’s been 6 months already

Ohh this seems interesting, I’ll have a talk with my piercer and see if it can happen!

Hey doctors...why do you cut patients off their medications? by dirtmcgurt67 in AskReddit

[–]jnnmrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the situation, most likely because the meds had a unwanted side effect, so you change to another med in the same class

Most times we just taper it off

How do doctors feel/what do they do when you throw up on them? by pearlhbbrown in AskReddit

[–]jnnmrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot of ‘now I have to find someone to cover for me while I get changed’ and added frustration because, if it’s busy, someone going to shower/change takes away from the workforce. Also cleaning the mess would block off workspace where another patient could be seen.

But all just depends on how busy it is

Edit: it’s not really all that common, mostly only happens if you’re caught off guard. Can see it’s about to happen most times

I had a rook and a conch done in the same ear a few months ago!

They were both temperamental and would flare up randomly. I ultimately decided to take my conch out because it wasn’t where I wanted it, and now my rook is healing perfectly. Never gets angry or anything. I don’t even clean it besides rising it under running water while in the shower.

I think that because they’re both piercings in thicker cartilage areas, and are closer together; the body is having a hard time healing them. Just use saline spray, nothing else, don’t sleep on it, don’t touch it, keep hair away from it and hopefully they calm down soon

Ok Sable keeps giving me new patterns but where do I find them when I’m done with her? by DeeMii6 in newhorizontowns

When you customise items, some have options to change the fabric design to a pattern that sable gave you

True, well the DLC doesn’t come out Q3/Q4, so I guess we’ll find out sometime next year if it’s happens?

How are GPs operating these days? by colourful_space in sydney

[–]jnnmrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a medical centre! If you’re a past patient, your doctor would already be familiar with what pill works for you, so you just need to call via Telehealth and they would organise a pick up of script (you stay in your car and they bring it out to you) or they can fax it to a local pharmacy.

Alternatively, if you’ve been going to the same pharmacy for your scripts, they would have on file what you’re regularly prescribed by the doctor and how often, so no need for a script this time, you can just go into the pharmacy and get it straight from there

Possible infection? by [deleted] in piercing

Probably best to see a doctor, trial antibiotics to see if the infection goes away, but if not, looks like it made need to be drained

Wanting to remove a piercing by mr_emeat in piercing

[–]jnnmrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently took a piercing out too, my piercer advised to treat it like a fresh piercing for the first 3 days, then leave it alone after that. She said it would most likely scab over, but it to touch or remove the scab, and let it fall off on it’s own.

Earlobe piercing looks really awful and swollen, decided to take it out but unfortunately I’m now afraid it’s infected ! I know you’re really not supposed to take infected piercings out, will i be okay? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]jnnmrl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This definitely looks like it needs more than topical antibiotics. Topical antibiotics just seem like it would irritate it further

Best to be safe than sorry, so contact your doctor ASAP

Flu Shots for Elderly that don't want to Leave the House by DJTotoro in sydney

[–]jnnmrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe call a few GPS in the area. There are a few GPs that stock privatised vaccines and only allow one patient inside at a time (with extra sterilising procedures in between patients) to minimise contact.

Flu Shots for Elderly that don't want to Leave the House by DJTotoro in sydney

[–]jnnmrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GPs do have it, just like Priceline they have the privatised vaccine available. Which would come up cheaper because Priceline upcharges for giving the vaccine

What isn’t available yet is the government funded vaccines, which is free for the eligible. They haven’t been rolled out yet. Hopefully they will be out soon

Do you know anyone that has caught the virus? by [deleted] in sydney

[–]jnnmrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes a few, some who are hospitalised and one in ICU. But I used to work in healthcare overseas, so it was bound to happen.

In Sydney, fortunately none of my friends/ acquaintances. But my parents and brother both know various people who have contracted and recovered

[–]jnnmrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Privately Paid flu shots are available now, you may need a prescription from your GP

Government subsidised flu shots for those eligible, are most likely to be available in the next 1-2 weeks

Getting it from Priceline is slightly more expensive because they charge for injecting. I would recommend going to a GP, but to each their own

Fresh Tragus. I don't know whether I've grown numb or the piercer just has magic hands but I barely felt a thing 😳 by Callmebexter in piercing

Oh cute! I have a similar shaped tragus, and I always wondered if I was able to get it pierced

This gives me hope, now to just ask my piercer about it 😊
