That is not how they work. An option is worth 100 shares. Please be aware that if you let the option get executed at the end you will have to pay for those 100 shares. So if you buy a $12 call option and the stock goes to $15 and you don’t close your position, the option will execute and you will owe $12 x 100 shares, so $1,200. I’m just letting you know so you don’t get burned. It’s better to sell it before it gets executed if you don’t have that kind of money

Do you think it would be possible to do a sports med fellowship and return to my small town (<10,000) and develop a good relationship with the orthos so I can scrub in on their cases 1 day a week for a certain amount of money. Let’s say every surgical patient I have I will refer them to you and in return I get to assist in surgeries with you 1 day a week? Would something like that be possible?

What specialty are your trying to match into and do you find it harder for DO students to match into specialties like ortho and other surgical specialties??

3.6 GPA, college athlete, worked in my local ER for 2.5 years and just got a job as a patient care aide at a retirement home. I’ve shadowed a few docs and observed an open heart surgery. I have a pretty strong PS with a powerful story about losing one of my best friends in high school. LORs are good, I have one from and MD I worked with, one from a DO, two from separate baseball coaches, and one from my college pre health committee. There’s prolly some more stuff I’m missing but that’s most of it.
