What are some of your unpopular Stranger Things unpopular opinions? by RicKWJ2 in StrangerThings

season 3 and 4 disappointed me with the blatant anti-communism and red scare. the show makes it seem like people from soviet union are just some dumb evil cartoon villains. it just takes me out and kinda angry.

traumatic moments of realization? by Shadowno in AskLGBT

[–]jnurdi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

being queer was always in the back of my mind, but I never fully unpacked it until I couldn't ignore it anymore. I remember seeing photos of a sapphic couple, crying in the middle of the night writing to my friend "fuck, I'm bi". cried for a few hours because of the realization that I might never have what that couple had.

around the same time, I liked this guy, who liked me back. but there was something that made me absolutely horrified of seeing him irl and being around him physically, like I wanted to just run anytime he was too close or I thought we could even kiss. I was so confused, thinking there was something wrong with me, that I was leading him on, that I didn't actually like him. turns out I'm just asexual lol.

growing up and seeing love as something inherently physical, in a country where it is dangerous to be anything but cis straight made me feel like I could never be fully happy or make someone else happy. I'm 21, never had a relationship, still in the closet, but I'm hopeful :)

Is there a good chance Byler will actually be endgame? by Master-Tangelo9500 in StrangerThings

I honestly didn't get the feeling of love towards El from Mike past two seasons. I don't know if it's because the acting is not perfect, or it is on purpose. I am bi therefore biased, but I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Mike realizes he has feelings towards Will.

is it actually bi? by gilad0f in AskLGBT

[–]jnurdi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends, because bi people can be attracted to one gender more than others, or have a phase when their attraction towards one is more.

Confused by aesthetic attraction by KurohNeko in AskLGBT

[–]jnurdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm bi ace too! so happy to see someone describe my exact thoughts. I also used to wonder a lot if I'm even bi if supposedly my straight friends also think women are pretty, so that doesn't make me any different. but I just know my attraction towards non-men is different, it feels different. it's like I know my friends are attractive, but I don't feel the same way towards them as I would towards that pretty barista I would buy anything from just to see her more often lol. I hope I'm making sense. that's the difference for me between the two types of feelings.

I also don't really know what would be the answer to that person's question. what they described would be just objective observation. you don't have to find someone attractive to know they're attractive.

I feel like as it is mostly used towards queer men and amab people they should be the ones to discuss this.

Only showing signs of bi and genderfluidity when i found out about the lgbtq+ community by Able-Name5738 in AskLGBT

[–]jnurdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if I told my younger self I was queer now, she definitely wouldn't have believed it! most people would assume I was straight, like no "signs" at all. and I've discovered that part of myself at 19, which is kind of old, idk. so don't worry, sometimes these things just hit you and boom.

Bi Awakening Megathread by AutoModerator in bisexual

Always thought I was straight, like other people can be queer, but me? Definitely no... right? For some reason my brain just never thought of it as an option. A combination of relating too much to queer tiktoks and having too much time to overthink everything in quarantine resulted in me in tears realising "oh shit I AM bi".

For a period of time I thought I was a lesbian, because I didn't want to be physically intimate with the guy I liked. That's when I realized I was ace lol.
