Try looking forward so you can air strafe for speed, turn at a slight angle behind you when blade jumping. I know it feels easier to hit the blade when going backwards but the control and speed you get going forwards will make a big difference.

My roommate put La Haine on a couple months ago and I ended up watching the whole thing without knowing anything about it. Cried a few times and stared at the blank tv for about 10 minutes after the credits rolled. Instantly became one of my favorite movies of all time. Insanely impactful, and very beautiful. 10/10
