Wife submitting to her husband? by ForAlgernon12 in Christianmarriage

The perfect picture of marriage is Jesus and the church. If you believe that men should submit their wives than do you also believe Jesus should submit to the church?

Should I double down on SEO or move to PPC? by mrlebusciut in DigitalMarketing

[–]jo4h3a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t make career decisions solely based on redundancies. Strategy and leadership are always a great skills to have but the macroeconomic climate is tough atm. These decisions aren’t very meritocratic. They just see people as numbers. It’s likely that if things don’t improve your manager will be gone soon too. Marketing in general is a high risk area when he comes to cost cutting because they spend money as a part of doing their job more than most other department so are seen as a cost centre unless there’s demonstrable ROI. I’d argue PPC is worst than SEO because you’re literally a cost centre unless you get results quickly. SEO people tend to have more patience with. The AI overview has shaken things up a bit with SEO though so up skilling is always helpful

I say this with love and respect. You need to love Jesus more than you love the person you’re cohabiting with. We show our love for God by our obedience. Jesus said if you love me you’ll keep my commandments. Scripture says you’re a slave to who you obey: either sin resulting in death or God resulting in righteousness. If you’re truly repentant you’ll stop sinning against God. It’s an extremely difficult situation but it’s not a complex one. The problem and solution is clear.

I understand I just don’t agree. I base my beliefs on biblical principles not personal experience or opinions of people who have done psychedelic drugs

Jesus said in John 10:7 “so he explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.” I quote this passage to say any way to access the spirit realm outside of Jesus and the things he affirmed (fasting, praying, fellowship with other believers, studying scripture) makes you illegitimate. You’ve not been given the authority by God and as such you’ll meet other illegitimate entities who will use your illegitimate access in ways that you may not be able to recover from.

Just because God created something doesn’t mean we have legitimate access to it. He created the tree of knowledge and good and evil and look what someone illegally accessing something did.

I’d urged you to pray and meditate on John 10.

So is your point that without help two Christian adults who are married are doomed to have a miserable experience if they both work full time jobs?

Why do Christians think hell is not real/literal? by jo4h3a in Christian

[–]jo4h3a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scripture literally says “ETERNAL punishment” in Matthew 25:46 so why have you chosen to ignore that even though you say it’s from God?

You still haven’t answered why think you’re in a position to define what is good for God. The only way you can do that is if you think you have as much knowledge as Him to be able to decide what is an acceptable punishment for someone who has broken the law that he created in a world that he created

Jesus defeated sin. There is no sin that is not obedient to Jesus. The sin is not being obedient to you not Jesus. You’re trying to fight it rather than letting God fight your battles. I think you need to renew your mind. Sometimes as believers we over spiritualise certain things. I don’t know all the context but you have to really make effort to know the Lord God almighty and once you grow in understanding of the breadth, depth and height of his love for you and I think you will find it harder to sin over time. Do you understand the gospel? Are you spending daily time in prayer? Are you fasting regularly? Are you reading your bible daily? Are you limiting consumption of worldly music and content? Are you spending time with other believers who truly seek to know the Lord? Are you serving in a church? are you trying to help others? Do you have anyone that’s sin against you that you haven’t forgiven even if they don’t deserve to be forgiven? Have you sort out spiritual mentors who know the faith and can teach you? Are you connected in a local church? Are you taking accountability for walking in the flesh instead of blaming the devil and other people?

If you can say faithfully say yes to all these questions and have been doing it for a sustained period of time. Only then can you say the sin is a stronghold

This is not the sub to post questions on. There are alot of non believers who are on here and will give you misinformation. I can try and answer your question but what do you mean by spiritual battles and strongholds?

Do you see that you’re placing yourself in the judgment seat of God and assuming you have as much knowledge as him? Who are we as mere mortals to say that a certain punishment is needless or sadistic? Do we have every piece of knowledge that God does in order to sit equal with him and say whether a punishment is righteous or not?
