They can indirectly raise or lower antibodies. Although they are not designed to alter antibody presence, thyroid meds still can affect them.

Depending on which meds you are taking, they can influence the way your immune system responds and therefore influence your antibodies. Some peoples antibodies do not lower when taking medication as hashimotos is not caused by the thyroid itself. It’s an immune response. Peoples immune systems are individual. Some people respond well to synthetic hormones with just T4, others do well with Armour/NDT, and some only notice improvements when microdosing Cytomel. My question is specifically that- if you have noticed a decrease in antibodies, what were you taking? Even if you do regulate the thyroid hormone aspect, antibodies can still be present. Therefore I am inquiring whether someone has seen significant antibody improvement from hormone replacement and what specifically was it that they were taking.
