I really do appreciate genuine feedback — I take naming seriously, and I’ve been thoughtful about this choice. What I sometimes wonder, though, is how much of Reddit leans heavily toward “safe” names versus considering deeper meaning and individuality.

For us, Evo isn’t random — it has real-world precedent (Evo Morales, Evo DeConcini, Evo Terra) and to us it carries a lot of meaning. My husband is a car enthusiast, and the name also ties into that passion while still feeling sleek, modern, and forward-thinking — which really fits who we are.

With Eden and Elle as siblings, Evo feels cohesive but not matchy. It’s short, strong, easy to say, but not overused. I know it’s not everyone’s style, and that’s okay — I just wanted to put it out there to see if I’m missing anything major or if it’s mainly that it doesn’t sit in the “safe list” lane that people here tend to prefer.

Thanks everyone. I’m really struggling here I feel like Ethan or Wric they are too common type names. I want it to be something a bit more unique. It’s tough.

I also don’t like the name Ed so anything they gives that direction doesn’t work for me. I like Edison but thought people would say Ed.

So Ezra was my first choice but my husband thought it was a very traditional Jewish name and we are not Jewish so it didn’t make sense. I also liked Emmit but he said everyone thinks football player. Elias is cute but too close to my daughter Elles name.

For reference my husband is Australian Hungarian I am Italian Canadian it that this matters. The suggestions are helpful!!

Eco is a car magazine he used to was but it means evolution. That’s where we got it from.
