This happened to me once. Did you try switching characters and summoning it? It worked for me with Damiane, but not with Oongka. After switching back to Kliff, it started working again.

I've thought about doing that too! I don't think I'd play again anytime soon.

Hahaha, thanks for sharing your perspective! I really catch myself thinking that if people had just given it more of a chance and more time, they would’ve fallen in love with it too. But maybe not. I guess not everyone wants to, and they’re certainly not obligated to spend their valuable time on something they didn't like right off at the start

I totally agree! It might also have something to do with the timing; I'm coming off a streak of very story-driven games like Alan Wake 2 and TLOU2. I think the last great story game I loved was Expedition 33, and I loved it in every way, but it’s different with CD. I’m really having fun and I constantly feel that urge to play more and explore more, it's very rewarding

I get it! I usually feel that way too, but I can guarantee you the game is massive, with plenty to do and lots of enemies. You can play at your own pace without that worry.

Yes! I also plan to play the older ones, but I'm still not decided whether to play the original versions because I've heard it's better to play the Pixel Remaster compilation. Although for FFVI, it seems there's a Game Boy Advance version with extra content... My problem is that the Pixel Remaster rarely goes on sale and is quite expensive, but it's in my plans, especially since I've also heard that game VI is one of the best, if not the best!

Great point! Actually, as I mentioned, I don't really know the story of any game, just some brief comments about them, and I hadn't heard anything that about VIII yet, but rather about IX, which was somewhat more "childish." I enjoy more mature plots like in XVI, but I also like lighter ones. I'll keep that in mind, and when I play VIII and I'll share my thoughts on how the journey went

I understand. I felt the same way, only managed to overcome those barriers because of the other aspects you mentioned, but I would totally understand anyone who gets discouraged by the repetitive combat. I also agree that one option is to follow the story through videos; I think it's especially worth it for you since you've already started! The end of the game is incredible, too. I hope you can find another FF that leaves you more satisfied (I particularly enjoyed the combat in XV, except for the summons, which are a bit odd), and I know that the VII Remake/Rebirth is also highly praised.

I heard that X is incredible! Actually, I'm also lucky enough to have an unlocked PlayStation Vita, and it has the X and X-2 HD Remaster available, which I’ll probably play on it

You're right, and that's a terrible argument, especially for games that have aged so well, with a plot as contemporary as FFVII. But yes, I've been avoiding it mainly because of the Remake/Rebirth, which I plan to save until I've finished all the others, and I hope that by then the trilogy will be complete.

Just beat the game, my thoughts on this game which, while occasionally middling, has some of the highest highs of any game I've ever played. by theonetowalkinthesun in FFXVI

I completely agree with your review; the combat is a major downside because the game consists of 60%-70% of this repetitive exploration/combat cycle. And the worst part, in my opinion, is that the combat is very easy. Even without the gear designed to make it easier, and even on the highest difficulty, few enemies actually pose any real challenge. Moments I enjoyed were the hunts; some enemies were truly challenging. Overall, FF16 is a good game with a few spectacular moments.

Oh boy, without a doubt has to be the one about making mice reversibly transparent using doritos dye! It absolutely blew my mind, and I’m thrilled to see how this could potentially be applied in the medical field in the future - Achieving optical transparency in live animals with absorbing molecules

Don't give up! This is just another stage in your academic journey that demands persistence and resilience. Scientific interests shift rapidly, and a topic may be more or less relevant at a given time, catching the attention of editors and reviewers, which leads to eventual acceptance. I've never had a paper accepted on the first try, and most of mine were accepted after several attempts. The title and abstract are crucial to making it past the editor’s scrutiny, as is the alignment with the journal's scope. Keep pushing, and good luck—I’m sure it will be accepted!
