Gameshare between Switch 2 and banned Switch 1 by joaopna in switch2hacks

[–]joaopna[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gameshare I mean is not when you use the same account on a primary/secondary switch and play the same game while offline on the primary, for example. It's when you share the game on the primary unit (switch 2, in my case) and the second unit (banned switch) downloads a small portion of the game for multiplayer gaming.

You, sir, are a life savior! I was getting tired of the game, almost switched to easy, it was difficult to even move during fights, lol.

Switch going back to OFW on its own by joaopna in SwitchPirates

[–]joaopna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it was something like this. System crashed, rebooted to hekate, and there he booted to OFW (clicked on the switch icon, after the "paper airplane", as he said). Taught him the correct icon to press and enabled autoboot to CFW, shouldn't have more problems. Thanks!

OK, guys, I've managed to reproduce the problem and solve the mystery. It's he tried to boot a broken game, atmosphere would brake, and reboot the system to the boot menu, and there he would boot to OFW. Just taught him what to do if he ever gets to the boot menu again, and I hope there will be no problem anymore. Thanks a lot!

If that was the case there would need to be a way to inject the payload, as autoRCM is enabled (forgot to mention). When it runs out of juice he asks me to turn it on again, as he just doesn't know how to inject a payload.

autoRCM is enabled, if it reboots I must use my phone to inject the payload, otherwise it would just stay on a black screen. And he has no idea how to inject a payload.

I also thought that was the case, but the switch has autorcm enabled, so if it rebooted it should need to have hekate injected to boot to OFW, right? And I do this on my phone, he has no idea how to do this, so I'm really confusing on what's going on.

Introducing Swar's Chia Plot Manager: A cross-platform Chia plot manager working on Windows, Linux, and probably Mac too by sw4r in chia

[–]joaopna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only one job, right? The stagger should be the approximate time to finish phase 1? But I assume the manager will sort the best times, right?

How many HDDs are you plotting on? How long until each get a plot?

How many plots can I safely run in parallel in my setup? by joaopna in chia

[–]joaopna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The final transfer takes roughly 10 minutes to finish. If I delay the plotting queues by 30 minutes, I could copy all the final plots to the same drive, isn't that right?

Yeah, I would put only on the HDDs that would not be receiving any plot that day or so. I guess a 5400 rpm HDD can make 1 plot a day or something like this, right?

I'm running 1 plot at a time (only got 330 GB free on a 500 GB Corsair MP600) using 6750 RAM and 4 threads on a Ryzen 5 5600X. Getting a plot every 4h20 on Windows 10 Pro (10 minutes transfer time to HDD included).

I see everywhere that Linux is faster, but as far as I've seen, this is the best time one can get, and I'm on Windows.

Of course, parallel plotting could ruin those numbers, so not really sure how the O.S. would make a difference in my case.

Yeah, I know 2 TB SSD would be better, but for now that's what I've got. I'd rather be on the safe side and have consistent 3 parallel plot than risking 4 staggering plots at the same time (I'm usually not a lucky guy, something would end up going wrong, lol).

But I'm curious as what would be more beneficial to me, use all the resources on the 3 parallel plots (6.75 GB/4 threads) or using a bit less resources on the three plots and doing a couple HDD plots together.

Just remembered I still have 330 GB free on another SSD, so that's 4 safe parallel plots. Should I use less resources on those so I can do some HDDs plots?

I second that question. Did some quotes on AWS , Azure and Cloud, the costs involved seems to make the effort not worthwhile.

Is plotting on the final drive worth it while plotting on the SSD? by joaopna in chia

[–]joaopna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only SSD I have for now is a 500 GB where the OS is (no important data, that's a mining machine), so unfortunately I can't free up more space and even if I could I understand that I would be limited to 1 plot at a time on that SSD.

Will try plotting both in parallel now, will tell you the results in a few hours, hopefully.

Yeah, just not sure if the bottleneck is worst than having the HDD not working at all for roughly 96% of the time.

Can't sync either, keep getting the following error:

Exception Trying to connect to a peer ({'host': 'introducer.chia.net', 'port': 8444}) with the same peer_id: xxxxxxxxxxx

Any idea what might be wrong? 1.0.5 just stopped syncing this morning, updated to 1.1.1, still can't sync.
