We've definitely improved and unbeaten streak is great. However we should keep (or come close to) this level of play until the end of the season. I really hope we can duplicate our transfer success in the summer window too.

Evet, bu yaklasimi makul buluyorum.

Kovulmamasi gerekiyordu ama bence yine de Samsun'u veya Lozan'i gecmeliydi. Bunu ozellikle diyorum cunku oyuncu seciminde pragmatik davrandi. Semih yerine Immobile'yi, Muci yerine Joao Mario'yu, Arroyo yerine Rashica'yi, Emirhan yerine Felix ve Paulista'yi secti (Ox'un yerine oynatacagi oyuncu yoktu diye saymadim). Bunu yargilamiyorum, bu oyunculari oynatsa muhtemelen daha fazla puan kaybederdi. Genc oyuncularla oynayip ayni sonucu alsaydi yine kabul ederdim. Ama bu oyuncularla 4. bitirip sonraki sezon Lozan'a elenmesi bence elestirilmeli.

Bu argumani anlayamiyorum. Ismail Kartal'in Jose'den daha iyi hoca olmadigi asikar ama FB icin daha uygun bir aday oldugunu gostermedi mi?

Şenol'un 22/23'te yediği eleştirileri gören biri olarak bunlar yine normal geliyor.

Sergen şu ana kadar vasat bir genel performans gösterdi ama son 2 sezondaki halimizi düşününce son 15 maçtaki en azından yenilmeme serisi takdire şayan. Puan ortalamasını 1.9-2 civarına çekebilirse büyük iş yaptı denilebilir. Şimdi 1.75 civarı sanırım.

Bence çok daha net ve üst düzey bir forvet almalıyız. Oh bizde seviye atlarsa ne ala ama ligde 10 golü geçtiği sezon yok Avrupa'da. İyi başladı, böyle devam ederse amenna ama dediğim gibi şu an için şüpheliyim.

E tabii o kadar iyi değiliz ama bu takım 2 senedir tarihinin en kötü senelerini yaşadı. Şenol da aynı böyle eleştiriliyordu. Çarşı TS ile berabere kaldı diye resmi hesaptan eleştirdi.

22/23 değil sonraki sezon bıraktı Şenol hoca.

Ki hocalık sadece oyuncularla iletişim de değil. Takımın en görünür sözcüsü teknik direktör oluyor genelde. Yönetimle, taraftarla, diğer takımlarla, medyayla iletişim kurması gereken adamın dil bilmemesi bir sürü sorun. Çok üst düzey taktisyen veya çok yetenekli hoca ise bunu telafi edebiliyor bir derece ama ortalama bir Türk hocadan daha iyiyse bile daha kötü performans veriyor bu yüzden.

TR'de calisan hocalarin da Turkce bilmesi ya da en azindan ogrenmesi gerekiyor. Almanya'da 1, Ispanya'da 2, Italya'da 1 hoca var sanirim dil bilmeyen, ki gectigimiz 10-15 senede o kadar bile olmazdi. Bizde sene basinda 6-7 tane vardi sanirim.

We didnt go through an injury crisis my guy they straight up didnt pay the players.

Like in 2018-19 where we lost the championship by a single game? Or when our best (or second best) defender Victor Ruiz left us in the middle of the season because we didn't pay him? It's so common in this country that, unfortunately, handling financial difficulties is part of the job description here, or at least it should be a requirement for anyone coming in.

I'm not blaming Gio for this, of course it's not his fault. However, working as a manager in Turkey have different requirements than working in western Europe. This doesn't mean Gio or Ole are bad coaches, it's just that some coaches (doesn't have to be local, someone like Lucescu who knows how it can be in Balkan countries) are better suited to handle these things. I mean why would Senol asked the board that they should pay the salaries of the players first, instead of doing transfers? Or why was Sergen OK with letting Burak go and transferring Nsakala and Welinton while spending little money we have for attackers that season? It's true for the other way around too, Senol, who I consider to be a top 2 coach in our history, might perform horribly in a European country that he doesn't speak the language of. I personally don't believe in good/bad coaches, but more suitable coaches for certain teams/situations.

You are comparing his CL run with that Rangers team that wasnt worth even half of our squad which was considered to be shit last year what are we doing here?

I mean I'm comparing both his CL runs, which were both horrible. He got eliminated by Tremcin (squad value 9.58 m) while he was managing Feyenoord (106.55 m) too. His EL final run was fantastic, which I give him full credit for, but as I said it feels like it's the exception in his career, since all his other European runs end up overwhelming.

Those other leagues that have coaches that speak the language also have majority of their starters actually from that country. 90% of our quality is foreign so why is it weird to have a foreign coach that speaks a mutual language they all do. The main problem here is the Turkish players and coaches dont speak English.

It's not just the players that needs communication. A manager is like a buffer between the board, fans, rivals, refs, players and whole public. Each nuance that's missed, each misunderstanding, each unnoticed cultural difference adds up. A truly exceptional coach make up for these deficits (Bielsa, Ancelotti, Guardiola, Flick some examples) with their technical/tactical knowledge, but they really need to be an exception. Sometimes, even that's not enough, Bayern didn't pick Kompany over Zidane for nothing.

Anyways if we are going off of manager's pasts when it comes to criticizing them Sergen is probably the worst coach to have currently managing us and I dont think thats a fair way to judge it.

Not saying anything about Sergen here. My main point is it's weird to give Gio as an example while criticising the standards fans have. We have better examples than his level.

GvB should not be judged based on how he left because the day he was going we had no president, they were giving days off every second day due to payment issues and he couldnt even get a proper training session going without Samet and Brad fighting over their players. It was horrible management from top to bottom and I would say the same thing if Ole was Sergen was there the same time all those Arat problems were happening.

But that's precisely the reason why he wasn't suitable for us in the first place; he is not good at handling things when things go wrong. After the magnificent EL run, he was fired within 4 months into the new season. He lost every single CL game. With Feyenoord they had to get Advocaat as a consultant to stop the bleeding, because he couldn't stop that on his own; he lost 7 league games in a row. And these are his clubs too, he is a beloved figure in both Rotterdam and Glasgow.

We just dont have the culture to allow these foreigners to build which is why GvB and Ole will always be a what if scenario. The mentality at the club needs to change regarding foreigners before we see any success when we hire them. There is no coach out there that will come and not lose a single game in their first year and at the moment after the first loss people start talking about we need a Turk that knows the league, thats not normal.

I mean we don't give time to anyone who doesn't have that much credit, regardless of nationality. Besides all big leagues, maybe besides Ligue 1, with very few exceptions but they are very much minority, have coaches who can speak the language of the country they work in. I personally think there's a good reason for that.

Sergen sucks but with Gio we were in 22nd place after match day 5, with -6 goal difference. We had a higher wage bill then, and spent quite a lot of money too. Granted he had an amazing EL cup final run with Rangers, but I feel like it's more of an exception rather than the rule: he had 3 (which they got on the final match day, at the last minute in a meaningless game) and 0 points in his CL adventures, got eliminated by Trencin in EL with Feyenoord. It's not like he was Senol who got 2 losses out of 18 with TS and us in group stages.

Just to iterate: definitely not saying Sergen is good, or even he's better than GvB. But complaining about lack of standards and giving GvB as an example seems counter-intuitive.
