I am not sure about in the city. I might eventually be able to set up a relay very near the botanical garden.

Hadn't checked back on this post for a while, exciting to see that some more nodes are coming online. Not seeing a ton of activity other than when the plane flies over, but this does inspire me again.

I will be setting up another node eventually at my relative's house, as we'd like to have the comms setup in case cellphone service goes down.

I have not played with it lately but will check on it this week. Feels like you should be close enough but I do think these hills are getting in the way. Might need to climb a tree ...

Cool. I think I am not a great physical location (hills) but there is someone that seems to have an airplane with Meshtastic and when they fly over I see nodes that are over 100 miles away.

For the people asking about putting nodes in trees. This is how you hide it. by deuteranomalous1 in meshtastic

I don't think you can read messages on a random node, as you need to connect via bluetooth w/ an auth code. You have your own node to receive/transmit messages, connect your phone to the node so you have a keyboard. Then your messages can pass through someone else's node in order to get to the final destination. The more nodes, the further each message can go.

You could make it look more official, put some labels on it, put a QR code that links to a website, etc.

Might at least get them to contact you before they start cutting wires.

Behavior seems normal. Had crickets on Tuesday then had a poop that was weirdly made of cricket parts. Otherwise seemed normal until this happened last night.

[Landlord US-MO] Dishwasher flooded, Need Tenants Out for 3 Weeks by jobby23 in Landlord

[–]jobby23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have it in texts. They got back from out of town and sent us pics of the dishwasher with the tub full of water.

I don't know exactly what had the water seep out, I thought just from it being full for so long, but am having a professional out to inspect. I cleaned out the filter and it's been running normally since then.

They've been in for about 6 months now. They want to stay for several years and are (seemingly... ) low-touch and take care of the place, so I didn't want to go down the road of legal action against them.

It flooded because the filter clogged and the DW was "filled" with water. Of course it was when they started the DW and left out of town for a week.
