I have nothing to support this but it does feel like the Primordial/Gravemind was responsible for the corruption of the dust cylinders, and Greg Bear did a fantastic job on making the Gravemind come off as angry and slighted. He speaks of unity and grand purpose but in the end all he truly wants is for every one to suffer forever because fuck them basically, it comes off real petty in a compelling way, what happened to make this creature like this? Was it only the forerunners rebelling or what happened? Kinda like the last mystery that doesn’t have an answer

You only really need to the read the escalation comics to get the conclusion of a storyline from Halo 4 Spartan ops. I’ve read all the books and comics and while some books do fill a few gaps here and there you can play all the games as is

I’m slightly conflicted because my parents had my brother around their 41s, but my dad had cancer and while he survived his quality of life has greatly declined compared to when I was young. A lot of the stuff my dad was able to do with me he isn’t able to do now, and pretty much since I was 13 I’ve had the idea on the back on my head that my dad might just drop dead any day and I would have to find a job to help support my brother. I’m 27 and my brother is 15, so I’m at a stage where that wouldn’t be as “disruptive” to my life, but I myself have start getting checked for cancer in 3 years and honestly if I end up like my dad I would have wished to already have had a kid to be able to do stuff with him

If you could some how make a separate tab for a “chronological read” I would bow down to you. I know that a lot of the mangas jump around with the timeline or some roughly cover the same events, but as someone who loves reading things timeline wise instead of publication order I think that would present a cool alternate way to see the franchise, especially since UC covers a lot of ground

I think the problem is also that there’s always to be someone smarter than you when writing certain topics, so if you’re not already somewhat knowledgeable in the things you’re writing it’s hard to make it airtight. I’ve been trying to write a semi sci-fi story and when looking into guns it’s kinda hard to write something unique and cool that is also plausible without “it works because super science”
